Aftermath of Typhoon Melor (Typhoon 20W)

Saipan was spared as the typhoon Melor shifted far enough north, winds were not as strong as feared.

Small landslide set off by heavy rains, was already cleared by 6am on the 4th of October

Photos of the 2013 Columbus Marathon

This was taken before I realized I was covered in red ants. Sigh. I am still in pain, and I was on fire all day after this thanks to the ants. This outfit is still covered in bosque. I know for a fact my shoulder is going to hurt like a mother tomorrow. Was it worth it? Of course.

It took two weeks to get power back after the amouth of damage to the power lines.

The building that was standing here fell down earlier than expected, and caused a great crash and noise, with debris flying everywhere.

This photo was taken by Dad moments after the collapse.

Hurricane Sandy - Aftermath

Tuckerton Beach, NJ

Looking in at the aftermath of an apartment fire at the end of the hall in our building.

I walked around Red Hook today, and was mostly appalled and moved in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Vestiges of peoples' lives...and arts....laid strewn in the streets, creating still-lifes that no one would ever dream imagine. This contact sheet of photos--depicting travels and nothing too personal--I thought symbolized how fragile life, and our creations are.

Just don't take illegal drugs. Anyway, click here for the reference image. :)

When I came to, the general back-alley ambiance of the flat was so rotten, so incredibly foul.

One of the many new cracks in our garage arch. The arch shifted. Car impact. It seems the car handbreak failed and the car rolled backwards into our fence and garage.

The AfterMath corporate brochure closely integrates with the website, using die-cut angles and, of course, a black/white color palette (and a hit of spot varnish on photo images). The brochure was the first communication to customers in the corporate launch.

This is how the pan looked once the attempted pancakes had been binned. Thankfully it was one of those facy, non-stick pans, so it made for easy cleaning.

Thanksgiving dinner is over. Small event this year.

in this shot you can almost see all of us as we deal with the aftermath of overeating. Grandpa is in the right of the frame, lying down on the couch... Wifey is just to the left of the frame, on the laptop... and (my favorite part) Grandma is my main subject, putting the finishing touches on a quilt she's making for my baby boy.

We are not sure who wrote this on our fridge... We both hope that the person was good looking...

While considerably tamer than the other photos I recently uploaded, this photoshoot made me fall in love with these guys all over again.
