This view looking north east possibly in the early 30s because of the lack of housing in the upper centre of the image. In the 1930s housing was built on the farmland to the south of Holywells Park, visible on the left. The area became the Rivers Estate with the streets named after British rivers.

In October 2020, the Intermediate Pool, the short section of the Mississippi River between the two St. Anthony Falls dams, was drawn down, bringing large crowds out to wander all over the river bottom thus exposed.

My December 15, 2008 flight in an American Airlines Boeing 767-300ER from New York JFK to San Francisco turned out to be beautiful, with clear skies across most of the country. I took plenty of pictures as we progressed towards SFO -- which was heavily hemmed in by shower clouds.

I don't get window seats anymore when we travel with Matthew. They make us put him at the window since he is in the carseat. I snuck in this shot of the late afternoon light. I thought I recognized the river cutting through the hills as the Virgin River near the Nevada border, but I'm not sure.
