The Double Creek Fire was caused by lightning at the end of August 2022 and by early October had burned 171,532 acres within the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. It was located 10 miles southeast of Imnaha, Oregon.

Storm surge barrier in Oosterschelde (East Scheldt), between Islands of Schouwen-Duiveland and Noord-Beveland. North Sea on the right side of the barrier (below). Under normal circumstances the barrier is open to allow for the tide to enter and exit. In case of high tides in combination with storm, the slides are closed.
