The Double Creek Fire was caused by lightning at the end of August 2022 and by early October had burned 171,532 acres within the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. It was located 10 miles southeast of Imnaha, Oregon.

Departing for Blenheim. In fact departures in the Wellington southerly aren't too bad. The nasty bit on this flight came later while passing through the 'washboard' effect downwind of the parallel ridges of the Nelson-Marlborough ranges.
