Le Souffleur, located in the south, is a contrast to the sandy beaches in Mauritius. At le Souffleur there is a continuous breeze of the South East Trade Wind. The beauty here is to watch these powerful waves crash against high cliffs of solidified lava.

The aerial view, dated c1955, shows the block bounded by Main St and Chapel Lane. Prominent are the Almshouses of Coddington United Charities, All Saints Church virtually rebuilt by Bodley almost 150 years ago, The Methodist Chapel and School building, Chapel Lane Cottages and Charity Farm.
Aerial view of the barren lands of Africa. According to the info on my airplane monitor, this was Sudan. (Africa 2007)
I don't know who took the nice picture but it arrived in my email inbox this morning with a news blast from PLACE, a non-profit looking to rehab 3 buildings in the city for use as affordable!! artist's live/work space.
