Slightly sweet and tangy cream cheese forms a tender base for these icebox cookies packed with three different hits of walnut: ground and diced forms in the batter itself and a maple-glazed walnut half as a quaint "hat". I added currants to half the batch, but they're just as delicious without.
The hallway leading to our new master suite. It will have two doors (like an airlock -- this photo is taken inside the first door with the entrance to our new master closet on the right. The door at the end opens to our sitting room with the bedroom beon. This door will eventually be replaced by a stained wood interior door

In addition to the over 150,000 ducks and geese drawn in by the warm waters of Gibson Lake, our winter months in SW Indiana are also graced with fair numbers of eagles. In the last two weeks or so I have seen on average 6 to 10 Bald Eagles and one Golden Eagle with each trip to the area. The Bald Eagles tend to hang out as a group often on the east side of Tern Bar Slough or the fields west of Cane Ridge waiting to pick off weak Snow Geese and other waterfowl as they come and go from their resting areas. I have seen several piles of white feathers lately so the group is having frequent success. The Golden Eagle tends to hunt solo looking for isolated and injured birds.
Today after praying for some encouragement by seeing something special, I was fortunate enough to witness a near miss of a Snow Goose by a Golden Eagle. The goose managed to evade the eagle by staying low and running toward the eagle causing it to overshoot the goose. To my surprise, the eagle landed a short distance away to watch the lone goose for several minutes before deciding against a second try and flying off to the west. I guess grace and mercy aren't just for people!
Don't usually find opposums in daytime; especially small ones! This little guy peeked out of the foliage and luckily the camera was at hand.

I went to a show to sell, took a look at my competition and realized I didn't have a chance. Walked up to this guy's table and saw an exactrail FBOX for $10, I grabbed it as soon as I could and kept looking, then I saw another one. Then I looked up and saw a Red Caboose AutoRack for $15. I resisted every urge to grab it. After that I quickly paid for the two boxcars and diverted my eyes to prevent myself from seeing more. During the show's luls I couldn't help but go back and pick at what he had left after everybody got the steals.
Got these four for $15
Needless to say I didn't sell a single N scale item.
This "Sloped Glazed" storefront entrance addition was added to a Suwanee office building. Fingerprint ID system was installed with the doors for top level security required.
Sadly, my grandmother's old machine was sold a few years back. A little bit of a bummer but I went out and picked up a new one for a fresh start.
