Cadastral Community: Inner City. The palace is in addition to the Leopoldine Wing of the Hofburg the only surviving example of early Baroque palace architecture in Vienna. It was built in 1661-1667 under the influence of northern Italian Mannerism. 1820 was carried out by Alois Ludwig Pichl a reconstruction in late classical style of the interior rooms. It is a free-standing cubic building block with additive windows lining up (on the upper floor the windows have interrupted segment gable overroofings) and pilaster strip structuring, the roof is rhythmicized by dormers. The banded half-column portal with interrupted segment gable was not until 1895 transposed to the center. In column vestibule and in the hallway there are statues of Josef Klieber.

Das gebänderte Halbsäulenportal mit gesprengtem Segmentgiebel wurde erst 1895 in die Mitte versetzt. Im Säulenvestibül und im Stiegenhaus befinden sich Statuen von Josef Klieber.

In addition to the quite fantastic gift bag, all attendees got ten raffle tickets to cram into whatever box(es) they wanted for the raffle. There were magnets, t-shirts, watches, the delivery truck, the chest of drawers with the lamp, an apron. I jammed half of mine in the truck box and the other half in the chest of drawers box.

The room was really a work in progress when I shot this originally. Josie was going to sleep in our room at first anyway, so no need to rush to have her place set up when she first arrived. So we spent the first couple months with her sleeping in our room and us taking turns on the futton on in the office.

The newest addition to the family, let me introduce to you, Mr. Reese. He's an Eyelash Crested Gecko and is close to a year old. He's a little on the small side for his age, but hopefully after a little love and lots of mango, he will get closer to his proper size.

The event door opens at 1:30 pm. The first 100 people can use a free entrance ticket to enter a raffle drawing to gift prizes of their choice.

In addition, there is a 50-50 Cash prize Raffle drawing. $1 per raffle ticket, the winner gets half of the ticket sale with a guaranteed $100 minimum cash price. There may be more surprise prizes.

Its noticable that both sides have these alloy extension pieces. I can guess that the steel gutters made up for the 8 foot long 23c and other Eccles models was used for the 10 foot versions which seem rarer. I guess the extra cost in the van meant that fewer were made obviating the sense in Eccles getting them made.

Deconstructing layers of tape using heat.
Observational pencil drawing (15 Hours)
Given unusual and uninspiring materials as a starting point for my subtraction brief, I looked at altering the simple structure of tape. Using heat I was able to manipulate the tape to create unique and complex structures. Intrigued by the removed areas within the burnt tape, I pursued the idea of ‘negative space’, finding an old Victorian embroidery technique called ‘Fagotting’; which is a lace like insertion stitch that secures the gap between fabrics. From this I looked at addition, using bondaweb that was a new and experimental material for me. Bondaweb is generally used for applique, however I found this purpose very limited and wanted to explore the different possibilities. Therefore I experimented using it for printing and transferring ink onto fabric. Although the best use I found was to trap materials in between layers of bondaweb, to create a new transparent fabric, which strengthened the gaps in between the materials.
Thrifting second hand lace with a label claiming ‘Nottingham Lace’ it intrigued me to research the history of lace and its origins. Pursuing this, I felt sympathetic for the lace makers who would go blind before the age of 21 due to their intensive labour; moreover were exploited by the globalisation of machine lace.
Therefore I created garments out of deconstructed lace trapped between bondaweb, to create delicate and ghostly silhouettes that evoked a sense of loss for the dying craft skill but also expose and question the garments worth, which lace makers dedicated their lives making.
