This is the old Richman Brothers Company factory on East 55th Street, which once employed thousands in Cleveland’s Goodrich-Kirtland Park neighborhood. Constructed in 1917 with additions in 1924 and 1927, the hulking building was where the company manufactured clothing. The company was founded in 1853 by Jewish-Bavarian Immigrants Henry Richman, Sr. and Joseph Lehman as the Lehman-Richman company in Portsmouth, Ohio, relocating to the larger city of Cleveland in 1879. The business, initially located closer to downtown in a smaller building, rapidly expanded around the turn of the 20th Century, being renamed Richman Brothers in 1904 after being passed on to Richman’s three sons. The company lasted until 1969, when it was absorbed into the F.W. Woolworth Company; however, the factory remained in operation until 1992, when declining revenues led to the factory’s closure. Since that time, several options for adaptive reuse of the structure have been floated, but as of yet, none have come to be. Despite this, and it’s listing on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012, I don’t see the building as being endangered at this point, as the building remains in somewhat decent condition, with the strong concrete structure and industrial-grade finishes appearing to be holding up well after a quarter century of abandonment.

This is the a photograph from the start of the Fore Village 5KM and 10KM road races and fun runs which were held in the beautiful village and area of Fore, Castlepollard, Co. Westmeath, Ireland on Wednesday 15th June 2016 at 19:30 and 19:45 respectively. This is the second year where there has been a 10KM race which is an addition to the annual 5KM race. Both races start close to the beautiful Fore Abbey and both races finish at the visitor car park area in front of the Abbey. The race was organised by Fore Motorcycle Racing Club Ltd and Ballycomoyle GAA club. Both clubs are from the surrounding areas and supplied stewards and other help on the night.

I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?
As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. The new addition to the Orange County Government Center in Goshen, NY. The contrast between the new and old portions couldn't be greater and, as far as I'm concerned, they aren't kind to the new building, which looks bland and cheap.
This structure, built sometime in the late 2000s, adjoins the rear of the county's 1941 WPA courthouse.

It was nearly 10 pm and the light was getting low when the sheep, and the latest newcomer to the farm, came in from the field and into the barn for the night. They all come running when they see me come out in the evening now.
Actually, she's been with us for nearly 2 weeks. She grazes out with the flock, and then nestles down deep in sleep under the straw and hay inside the barn.

The addition of Taylor’s Funfair certainly brought a joyous scream for some and provided a carnival type experience to the festival. Edinburgh Meadows Festival is a free volunteer-run community festival. The open park land experience is available in the meadows every day, but when the festival is on there is an impressive added bonus to this year-round popular hangout. The size and diversity of the festival grows every year and the whole ambience creates a beautiful atmosphere for all to enjoy. We often say, “Something for everyone,” but the organisation and realisation of the Meadows Festival does create a space in which there is place for something from everyone and so there is truly something for everyone. This festival is still growing and it is certainly glowing as the community feel to the festival engenders a heart-warming celebration for all those that can join in the gathering.
This is what you see right by the back door of the library. You can hear the brooke babbling on the second floor if you sit in the green naughahyde chair reading cookbooks, knitting books or photography books. However, you do not want this babbling brooke to run behind your house. It floods all the time. once the whole childrens library flooded and they lost all sorts of books and had to close it for several months for repairs.

His name is Major and he's a 10 week German Shepherd/ Rottweiler mix (they think) we got him from a rescue & he is the absolute most sweet, calm and lovey puppy I've ever met!!!!

This famous building is actually a hotch-potch of changes and additions over the course of 200 years, despite its apparent harmony. It was completed as early as 1800 in a Neo-Classical style (that Washington was to embrace for future Government and public buildings). The overall design of the original building was by the British-American architect William Thornton. The north wing - Senate - was the first completed. Later additions followed to the designs of Thomas Ustick Walter, including a redesign of its most iconic feature, the cast iron dome. In 1904 the central portico of the east front was extended to allow extra stability for the dome. However, in the 1950s a further extension to the east front took place and the earlier columns were replaced with marble Corinthian columns. Notwithstanding the additions (which can be observed up close) it remains a well proportioned and dignified ensemble.
This view highlights the central portion of a building that extends for 726 feet; it focuses on the cast iron dome which was enlarged and heightened in the mid 1860s to maintain good proportions with the rest of the building.
Walter placed the dome on a two-story pilastered drum encircled by a one-story peristyle. The only example of an iron-framed dome in existence at the time was that of the Cathedral of St Isaac in St Petersburg (1817-57) with its multitude of free-standing columns surrounding the drum.
In the 2000s a new visitor center was built underground thus introducing the spacious forecourt in front of the eastern frontage.
