SCT intermodal 3MB9 works around Goondah curve with CSR016 and CF4430 hauling dead attached C’s 502/503/508.
SCT transferred the C class from Western Australia after a period on hire with Watco, they would be detached at Goulburn before being forward to SSR’s Cootamundra depot.
Southern Shorthaul Railroad has added the former Railfirst C’s to their ever growing locomotive fleet.
Colorado's Rocky Mountaineer folks added a couple of units to their roster this season. Coming to Denver are SD18M 187 and SD40M-2 8600, shown here approaching the Blue Mountain Road crossing between Eisele and Plain, Colorado, on UP's Moffat Tunnel Subdivision. The glistening unit will stop at the crossing to pick up lunches for the crew from RM's superintendent. The two units are on a five-year lease from Horizon Rail Leasing.
The SD18M will be used in the yard to switch passenger cars as needed. The 8600, equipped with PTC, will be used as a substitute on the Denver-Moab, Utah, Mountaineer when one of the regular GP40-3s needs maintenance. In this scene, the 8600 is undergoing PTC testing, making a round-trip between Denver and Crescent. The 8600 will be "rebranded RMRX" in the next few days.

The Koorkerk van Middelburg is part of the former Middelburg Abbey. It is a one-aqueous church built in the fourteenth century on the remains of an older church from the thirteenth century. The choir church, like the New Church of Middelburg, is built in the Flemish brick gothic. The church was in the possession of the monks of the Abbey of Middelburg.
William II of Holland is buried in one of the walls. William II was Count of Holland and King of the Holy Roman Empire in the thirteenth century. The church is also home to the oldest organ in the Netherlands. This organ is originally from a church in Utrecht. In addition to missing, the Koorkerk van Middelburg is also used for other purposes. In addition to finally getting some sun, I think I finally got a decent roll! Despite being a little warry about using Rodinal with Fortepan 100, these turned out wonderfully. With excellent contrast, tonality, and edge sharpness. Yes, some visible grain, but it isn't detracting from the overall look of the images.

I added this new columbine to the area around the fire pit. I had one before, but it didn't come back in the spring. Really like this one!
I like having multiple methods to photograph people with, because it stops me from getting bored of one format, and if I fail in one I usually succeed in another. On this occasion, pretty much all of my double exposures were subpar. Shooting with no shade on a Spring day with color film didn't help. I sort of stacked the deck against myself. But normal color portraits? Easy. Flowers were everywhere, Sarah is immensely photogenic; mix the two and you've got everything you ever wanted out of photography. It's always good to have options, but best to have a gorgeous model.

Para despedir 2012, una serie sobre un lugar de belleza singular. Se trata de las Barrancas o cárcavas de Burujón y el pantano de Castrejón. Cerca de la capital se encuentra este paraje natural de los más bellos, impactantes y sorprendentes de la provincia de Toledo.
Las Barrancas de Burujón son espectaculares cortados arcillosos que han sido formados por la erosión del viento y las aguas del Tajo sobre sedimentos de hace 25 millones de años.
La extensión de estas cárcavas arcillosas de color rojizo es de aproximadamente un kilómetro de longitud y alcanzan más de un centenar de metros de altura en algunos puntos, concretamente en su pico más alto, que es conocido como el "Pico del Cambrón".
Además, en el interior de Las Barrancas se encuentra el Embalse de Castrejón, que confiere una belleza aún mayor a este paraje y lo convierte en refugio de numerosas especies de aves.
La riqueza de este enclave privilegiado la podemos apreciar a través de la "Senda Ecológica de las Barrancas", que cuenta con varios miradores desde los cuales se pueden contemplar estos espectaculares cortados, además de su flora y fauna.

The Burujon Canyon are spectacular cut clay soils that they have been formed by the erosion of the wind and the waters of the Tagus river on sediments of 25 million years ago.
These clayey channels of reddish color extension is approximately one kilometre in length and reach more than one hundred of meters high in some places, specifically in its highest peak, which is known as "Peak of the Cambron".

A very nice addition, the Lewis gun looks great in bronze. This was my first Lewis gun, and I must say that the amount of detail is amazing! A very nice gun which fits the theme perfectly. Now for the Bayonet. I like it, I don't love it. While this may be a welcome addition for pirate and military fans, I will have to work hard to find uses for it, as I am more of a sci-fi fan. I also think the bayonet would work better with the gun if it were a different color. The solid bronze doesn't make the gun feel as interesting and
unique as it could be.

This highly toxic plant at this time of the year, they are all over, mostly white. Now flowering it is a very nice addition to the city's plastic beauty. There are no streets that you can't find one. They are really beautiful and last for quite a while. Plumeria alba is a somewhat succulent, evergreen shrub or a tree that does not have a true crown of foliage, but forms a somewhat vase-shape with a few stout, soft and brittle erect branches ending in clusters of crowded, spreading leaves; it can grow 3 - 8 metres tall. The bole can be 10cm in diameter. The plant is sometimes harvested from the wild for local use as a medicine and source of wood of poor quality though. A very ornamental flower.

Henrik Arnold Wergeland (born 17 June 1808 in Christianssand, died 12 July 1845 in Christiania) was a Norwegian poet and the country's first national archivist.
His poetry ranges from cosmological poetry over children's poems to doomsday poems and works of poetry with a social tendency, among others. in the form of verse novels, short stories and short poems. The authorship contains a variety of hymns, patriotic songs, sailor songs and occasional poems. Wergeland also wrote dramas, such as mourning plays, singing plays and farces. On Norwegian soil, he created new genres such as the visionary creation poem, the utopian drama, the polemical short prose text and the visionary program script. [8]
He was also a historian, and wrote, among other things, the History of the Norwegian Constitution, which was published in the years 1841 to 1843.
Henrik Wergeland had a theological degree and held services in several churches. In addition, he had an unfinished medical degree behind him and was interested in botany.

The 153 peeping under the bridge at Horbury Cutting is hardly modern but when I looked at this scene it appeared unchanged for decades. With the ramshackle wooden fencing and the BR post and wire along with the concrete lighting column with its swan neck spiggot and top entry lantern complete with elongated shield. The Dogbox was working 2L06 Sheffield to Leeds.

My newest addition to my Lego train fleet is this model of Canadian National Railways N-2-b Consolidation type locomotive number 2476.
This engine was built in September of 1918 by Montreal Locomotive Works as Canadian Northern Railway 2476. It would then be acquired by the newly formed Canadian National Railway in September of 1919. Consolidation type locomotives were often know by CNR crews as “freight hogs” and mainly did a lot of smaller way freights and switching. Over the years, this engine would receive many different modifications such as getting slope sheet pushers replaced with stokers as well as various modifications for switching service. With a tractive effort of about 50000lbs, This locomotive was one of the more powerful 2-8-0s that the CNR had. 2476 spent its service life working all across Ontario and It would spend its final year based out of Allandale before being retired at the end of July 1958. It was ultimately scrapped in October of 1961.
My model is built to a 1:48 scale and measures, 58 studs long from coupler to coupler. It is powered with one Power Functions L motor geared 1:1 to the drivers. The driving wheels are #10 drivers purchased by Brick Train Depot and OKBrickWorks which scale almost perfectly to the 63" Drivers on the prototype. I tried as much as I could to get as many details on the locomotive as I could and I am overall quite happy with how they turned out. My particular favorites are the bell mounted above the nose, the elesco feedwater heater and the coal boards on the tender. I am also thrilled by the conecting rods on this locomotive. I did the design work on them myself and then had them 3D printed with shapeways. I would like to especially thank Glenn Holland for guiding me in the right direction when working on these rods. I did the decal artwork myself and the decals are of course printed by OKBrickWorks. The numberplate, I had custom printed by Brickforge and I am thrilled with how it turned out!
Overall I am really pleased with my model, I have wanted to build a steam locomotive for a while now and I am thrilled with the result. This engine runs well and will be a great addition to my fleet!

My wife and son picked up our newest addition to the family yesterday. She's getting to know her way around, and one of her favorite places for now is under this stove. She's pretty much out from under foot, and can rest peacefully. Pippin has pretty much ignored her, except for looking for more attention from us! By the way, the reason I haven't mentioned a name is that we still haven't agreed on one. Our daughter is due back Sunday night, so Monday we should have a name agreed upon.

Minor White was a contemporary of Ansel Adams. In addition to being a photographer in his own right, he also taught photography lessons. Some of these lessons would take place at what is now known as "Minor White's Wall", located in the Shore Acres State Park, where he encouraged his students to concentrate on their abilities to visualize and create abstract photos.
OK, it's not a horse. But it reminds me of one. I see the mouth, the nose, and one eye before the shape fades into the background of the surrounding rock.

The lighthouse dates from 1867 and was automated in 1923. In addition to the light at the top of the tower, there is a light located in one of the rooms below which helps guides ships through the narrow channel between The Needles and Shingles Bank.
Taken from the cruise ship Celebrity Apex, larger ships normally take the east route around the Isle Wight to enter and leave the Solent so it was a bonus to be able to photograph both this lighthouse and The Needles.
Hurst Castle which is next to the lighthouse was originally built in the 16th century and added to and modified over the centuries.
The addition to this repurposed church building includes both straight and spiral stairs.

Birkenau was the largest of the more than 40 camps and sub-camps that made up the Auschwitz complex. During its three years of operation, it had a range of functions.
