An addition to a 1920’s house in the historic East Side of Providence contains a library, (1st floor), and a master bedroom, (2nd floor), for a couple who love their garden and books but have sensitivity to the sun. The design strategy is a deep outer wall holding book shelves, structure and HVAC.

This is a photograph from the inaugural Fr. Murphy A.C "Streets of Athboy" 5KM Road Race and Fun run which was held in the town of Athboy, Co. Meath, Ireland on Friday 8th August 2014 at 20:00. The "Streets of Athboy" is a new addition for 2014 to the already very well populated Meath Road Race Running Calendar. The race started and finished in the town and followed a nice mostly flat route. The very rainy weather of recent days cleared off and the race was held in very good weather conditions for running. Refreshments were provided afterwards in St. James' Hall in the town where the race headquarters and registration took place. Athboy is located west of Navan on the N51 between Navan and Delvin. Athboy is also very close to the Westmeath border which is only a few miles away to the west of the town. About 260 participants took part in the event this evening which invited runners, joggers and walkers to Athboy.

We have a small set of photographs from tonight's event and they are available on our Flickr Photostream in this album: www.flickr.com/photos/peterm7/sets/72157646274860062

We use Creative Commons Licensing for these photographs

We use the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License for all our photographs here in this photograph set. What does this mean in reality?

The explaination is very simple.

Attribution- anyone using our photographs gives us an appropriate credit for it. This ensures that people aren't taking our photographs and passing them off as their own. This usually just mean putting a link to our photographs somewhere on your website, blog, or Facebook where other people can see it.

ShareAlike – anyone can use these photographs, and make changes if they like, or incorporate them into a bigger project, but they must make those changes available back to the community under the same terms.

Creative Commons aims to encourage creative sharing. See some examples of Creative Commons photographs on Flickr: www.flickr.com/creativecommons/

I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?

As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:

►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera

►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set

►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone

►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!

You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. You might find some links for further information above.

Don't like your photograph here?

That's OK! We understand!

If, for any reason, you are not happy or comfortable with your picture appearing here in this photoset on Flickr then please email us at petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com and we will remove it as soon as possible. We give careful consideration to each photograph before uploading.

I want to tell people about these great photographs!

MHI Remodeling Additions

Open in 1952 and now undergoing renovations and a new addition on the east side of the Kingston high school campus.

Someone had abandoned this big fella in a rental home. I came by him through a freecycle post. If he lives - which I think fairly likely, I'll have to get a bigger tank.

Set of 6 art dolls made of porcelain. They are just over 13 inches each, with the addition of the shoes. The wigs are made of real hair. You will notice that the shoes have a normal shape, because underneath the fabric are metal components. The soles are striped with colors that match the top. The pictures are okay to use. Key out the green screen background if you want. Please ask your local gallery, art representative, doll store or interior designer if you want to make a reservation. These dolls have been sold and are no longer available. I only use the same face or doll head a few times, once for the customer, and another for touring the dolls.

One of Prince George's oldest neighbourhoods is the Millar Addition, named after the original developer George Millar who bought some 200 acres for almost $60,000 dollars in 1913. He began developing the land the next year and some houses from the 1920s are still being lived in to this day. Its beautiful tree-lined streets are a hallmark. July 01, 2011.

In addition to cover crop incorporation into the berms, hedge rows, pond and end row beneficial plants and trees, I'll be recommending a pollinator plot in this space.

Very interesting project, which I'll pass to my daughter, for incorporation of indigenous floral to entice indigenous fauna. Big Horned Owl boxes, which are thick like fleas in the creek to our north. Putting up Barn Owl boxes would be cruel. The Big Horned Owl is referred to as The Tiger Owl. In addition, hawk and eagle perches. Yay! They're not there for beauty but for function. These join forces with the Fox, Coyote, and 2 Otter families. And I'm not mentioning all the fauna that benefits, frogs, snakes, etc. 90% of the fauna is in the invertebrates. I'm looking for balance between floral and fauna in the predator / prey cycles.

Update: Well that wetlands habitat grant took a dump fast, agent didn't like the Johnson Grass. Guess they didn't read the project review before arriving on site. Watch this space, crows are circling.

Update2: They're Back! Guess when I'm the only organic block in town, you get more consideration. Incorporation of a more polyculture transitions berms and end rows with the raptor perches and boxes is back.

Look at little short stuff here! LOL...isnt he cute? There was another one in with it...possibly a mating pair. I'm guessing Shetland pony..though I've never in my life seen one this small!!! lol..very nice in light box!

Have a super evening my friends! :)

In addition to taking the artsy bokeh tests yesterday I did take some nice ones of the flora and fauna 9 well my kids)

Took these shots of the Beautiful Deoksugung Palace in the Center of Seoul, Korea.

info from Wikipedia:

Deoksugung, also known as Gyeongun-gung, Deoksugung Palace, or Deoksu Palace, is a walled compound of palaces in Seoul that was inhabited by various Korean royalties until the colonial period around the turn of the 20th century. It is one of the "Five Grand Palaces" built by the kings of the Joseon Dynasty.[1] The buildings are of varying construction, including some of natural cryptomeria wood[citation needed]), painted wood, and stucco. Some buildings were built in Western style.

In addition to the traditional palace buildings, there are also forested gardens, a statue of King Sejong the Great and the National Museum of Art, which holds special exhibitions. The palace is located near the City Hall Station.

Deoksugung, like the other "Five Grand Palaces" in Seoul, was intentionally heavily destroyed during the colonial period of Korea. Currently, only one third of the structures that were standing before the occupation, remains.[2]
