Sailing Stone coming towards me with sun backlight - Racetrack dry lake in Death Valley (California)

Sailing stones are rocks that move in long tracks on the smooth and perfectly flat surface of a dry lake, without human or animal intervention. The rocks are most likely propelled by strong winds while entrapped in floating ice sheets (or icebergs), after winter rains flooded the dry lake and made the mud soft and slippery.

For more photos and information about the Racetrack sailing stones, go to my Sailing Stones photo series.

Group of naked Hindu devotees walking towards the Ganges river at the Kumbh Mela 2013 Hindu festival near Allahabad (India).

Kumbh Mela is the largest festival on Earth, taking place once every 12 years, with more than 50 million Hindu pilgrims gathering to pray and bathe in the holy Ganges river.

Thousands of Sadhus and Hindu devotees (naked, with their bodies often covered with ritual wood ash) converge toward the bank of the Ganges river at the Sangam where they will take the Holy Dip. The Triveni Sangam is the confluence of the Yamuna and the Ganga (Ganges) rivers, and this is the holiest place to take the ritual baths during the Kumbh Mela.

This was the morning of Vasant Panchami Snan day, an important religious date for Hindu people and one of the most auspicious mornings for taking the holy bath in the Ganges river.

For more info about Vibhuti, the Hindu holy ash, read en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vibhuti.

For more information about Vasant Panchami (or Basant Panchami), read en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vasant_Panchami.

If you have a bellybutton piercing and become pregnant, all you need is a special ring or barbell (longer and flexible) called a "pregnancy belly ring". But you should not get any new piercing while pregnant because of the risks of infection.

Robot Dance Party was definitely one the coolest performance I saw at this year's Burning Man.

A buch or Smily-Face robots with speakers were playing (together) old disco classics and dancing with hillarious moves. One woman was controling the music played by the robots, using a iPad and an FM transmitter. High-tech + Low-tech + Clever idea. This was a great monent!
