Well tonight was the opening of Add On, one of the photography exhibitions which is part of the Head On Photo Festival. "Add On" is quite interesting... 123 Photographers each donate a photo anonymously. At the end of the Exhibition each photographer will get a different photographer's photo back... Just like a lucky dip. There are a variety of photographers, celebrities and artists contributing to the exhibition, including a former Prime Minister and a famous chef. Stan and I were both invited to submit photos this year.
And here is me, pictured with two women I admire... on the left is Penelope Beveridge a fabulous award-winning food photographer and in the middle Kate Fitzpatrick, one of Australia's great female actors. I have admired her work since I was at school.
Add On is open at the Mary Street Gallery in Paddington until the 26th May

Animals picked up by VaDOT are then added to the pile. Each bin can fit up to 150 animals, ranging in size from small rodents to cows.

Add another feather in between each. Trace all the lines with a black permanent marker. Add V-shaped crayon lines. Paint over all with watercolor.
Drinking Lassi. A tradition in Northern India - soothing and cooling against the heat of the land.
The Lassiwala store is famous in Jaipur. Lonely Planet India states that two cities in India have particularly good lassi (a yoghurt based milk drink in Northern India) - Amritsar in the Punjab, and Jaipur in Rajasthan.
This store here is one of several called "Lassiwalla" in a row - this guy is the original. You have to go early in the morning for fresh lassi, and it's served icy cold in these terracotta glasses. You smash them in the bin when you are done!
The best thing was that the lassi was 10 rupees! (less than 30 australian cents)
