Shot for Active Assignment Weekly.

A stroll to the very small harbour of my home town and some playing around with ambient light and flash. Basically that means applying the methodology that I learned during a masterclass about balancing the two.
Note how the traffic signs across the harbour (at least 90 feet away) are lit up by the flashlight. In post I added a bit saturation to stress the red roofs in the distance.

The Estuary in the last of the light. Sorry I haven't been around much for the last couple of days, I hit a wee pothole on the road of life, but everything's fine now. Will try and catch up with everyone by the weekend. Enjoy the last of the summer, it's less than 5 months to Chrismas.
One Sunday afternoon while traveling the back roads of Pitt County I happened to stumble across this barn. Someone had painted I love Jennifer on the side. I find myself wondering to this day if a couple of young teenage kids passing by one afternoon took to the adventure of painting such or maybe a true southern boy was trying to capture a southern belles heart and was hoping with all of his heart that she would see it going to school the next morning. I can only imagine it brought a smile to her face. Or maybe she wondered if that was for her. She was Jennifer but was she the one? MMMM....I don't know why I think of things as this but one thing is for sure, it brought a smile to my face. And one other thing it makes me know is that good old romance still exists in the South.
