If not for my toy geekery, I likely would have never got into photography . Which is an odd irony me being on a photo sharing site where most here are seriously good photographers :)
The stairs to the second floor are an amazing treasure trove.The two old adding machines(my folks had one like these on our desk back in the late '60s!)start out your climb.Then nearly every step has pictures on them-the pics from the Korean War are on the top step.There are alot of family pics but also many of the local area.Many of these buildings don't exist and most of the scenes depicted have drastically changed.You could spend hours on those stairs examining these pics!
Where I create and plan events, interiors, invitations, scrapbooking, marketing and advertising for our businesses, sewing and just any old thing I feel like doing that involves kindergarden skills (drawing, cutting and pasting).

I placed some of the new models very quickly to show size comparisons to what I've already got. You can see how badly they need weathering and aging and added details.
i invented a new salad i'm calling cubist crunch. just dice up a bunch of random veggies like radishes, zucchini, bell peppers, endive and then add parsley, thyme, salt and pepper and toss with a couple of splashes of red wine vinegar, olive oil and lemon juice. Throw in the fridge for a little bit (or as long as it takes to make a pizza) and then you're done.

U-Bahn Dortmund, Haltestelle 'Städtische Kliniken'
A station with heavy impact from post modern architecture and some ridiculous and most superfluous details. I won't show that because it's just too ugly, I'll show some nicer details instead, like these tiles. I love tiles :)
It's the station directly situated next to a huge hospital complex in Dortmund and the tiles are referring that use.

Take any photo that depicts the future...either for you or for society. Happy hunting and hope it's not too hard! Be creative!
The future of Clifton on the Queens County Model Railroad Association's HO scale (1/87) layout is represented by the pictures on the boxes and a partially painted and assembled kit. The white cylinder to the right of the tan building is a rolled up piece of paper showing the height of the future dingy Parkview Apartments. The piece of paper barely visible to the right of that is the plan for the area. I didn't manage to show it, but there will be a connection between what's sold as the "Bralick Building" and "Heritage Furniture" on the second floor, above Half Street.
The dark green locomotive with yellow stripes is CNJ 1506, a Fairbanks-Morse H-15-44 pulling a train of milk from Kingston toward Jersey City. The green and black loco is LS&I 3074 switching Schneider Yard in Jersey City. A CVP EasyDCC XR1300 Throttle is seen in a mouse pocket screwed to the side of the layout.
