This is one of a set of three castle bowls as I call them. I fell in love with the castle and won it on ebay. I thought I was bidding on two and when the shipment arrived the seller had given me three. She just couldn't break up the trio I guess. My gain!! I have the other two on a shelf in my kitchen. The little kitty is a flea market find or a gift from my Daughter. I made the lampshade and the little pot is Dutch with daisies.

Actually that Corvette was not speeding and flash was not lightning. Panning effect was done with motion blur and flash was edited.

For FGR. Theme: "Nose Pickers Anonymous"

I have been thinking of having laser surgery to clear out my VERY faulty sinuses. I was discussing it with my close friend Darth Vader and he said "Heck Cliff, I can do that for you for nothing." Out came the light saber and he was ready to operate. "This isn't going to hurt, is it?," I asked.

As a side note this actually is an original 1977 Darth Vader that I got for Christmas when I was a child. He still has his original cape and light saber (they are frequently lost) and the light saber still has the little thinner "tip" which frequently was either chewed off or broke off due to frequent play. I saw the original movie (now stupidly called episode 4 - A New Hope) when I was 7. After that I was hooked! Every Christmas for the next several years I got play-sets and "Action Figures" for Christmas. I hope in the near future to take some cool shots using those play-sets to post to some of the "un-seen life of toys" groups as well.

Actually, he is a good kitty :)

This is actually a "hanging sculpture" in a hotel I was staying in. The background is the interior of a dome in the lobby of the hotel.

I actually have this unexplainable weakness for all things Kirby. There's just something so pure and innocent about his design, and truthfully, unless you screw it up royally, it's pretty hard to get a bad Character Good of the guy.

A few years back, the Nendoroid line introduced Kirby into it's lineup. There's been several releases in the line, including at least 3 different Kirby, a special Kirby with his Robobattle suit, a Waddle Dee, a Metaknight, and a King Dedede.

I've got maybe half of these, with the Robobattle set being the highlight.

So for the 30th Anniversary of the franchise, there was a special Nendoroid release of the base Kirtby with a special base, and different faces/accessories. Technically the Star Wand has made an appearance in the first set, but this one is coated with glitter, so there!

Like pretty much all other Nendoroids, Kirby requires his base to stand and pose. What makes this line of Nendoroids unique is that the body is basically one giant metal shell, and the limbs are magnets. So basically you can pose the arms and feet anywhere you want on the body. Like with the Windwaker Link, it was like the Nendoroid line was created just so a product like this could exist.. everything just works out so well.

Of the new expressions, it's hard to pick an absolute favourite, though it is nice admittedly nice to finally get a classic Kirby face into the mix. But in terms of sheer comedic value, you gotta give it to the the surprised face. It's really odd that this Kirby dfidn't come with an inhaling face, but I guess if they did that they wouldn't have included the dizzy face, or they'd have had to increase the price. Understandable, but unfortunate you'd have to own the first release to get that face when this is a special anniversary set.

this is actually NOT my ceramics work. It was made by my teacher, but she hated it and wanted to throw it away, so i asked her if i could have it. The color inside was supposed to be a light aquamarine color, but it turned out sort of an ashy grey. I love it, but it just goes to show that a lot of success is gauged on our own expectations of the situation.

Actually two different captures. guy was doing a woman's hair in the upstairs window, but got away before I could shoot.

actually, not that old, just made to look kind of old.

the wisteria gazebo at park and tilford gardens. Obviously, from all the photos I take here, one of my favourite places to take a stroll, especially when little things are starting to grow.
