Actually took this in 2011 during the first big snowstorm January 10. I guess I am not used to the new year yet.

Elmer Long's dad liked to collect bottles, to collect and archive bottles, actually, and when he died he left his collection to his son. Elmer proceeded to pull out his welder and some bottles and create. And he kept creating.
Visit the Bottle Tree Ranch of California’s Mojave County, and chances are good you'll meet Elmer there, and end up having a long conversation. We did. Elmer Long is every bit as interesting as his bottle ranch
We actually met wolfgang puck while we were eating in one of his restaurants, this photo was after a day inside the canyon ranch spa, we were wet headed and in casual clothes, looking awful! This photo was taken just before midnight....thursday january 17th at Postrio on St Mark's Square in the grand canal shops at the venetian in Las Vegas....we had some great food!
Actually, his name is West, but I thought it would make a convincing
picture. West is probably the coolest person I've met this year.

Actually I'm checking the white balance between two Nokias, my N86 and an N900 on trial.
Click here for the N900 version.
Actually there were two summit cairns on Rest Dodd. I have no idea which one this is, as usual when in doubt I visited them all.
Managed to finally actually get round to editing some personal photos from this year, which as every wedding photographer knows is a very rare thing!!
But luckily managed to spare 5 mins to work my way through thewse photos. We stayed right by the Rialto Bridge. If you have never been to Venice, I hope these photos give you a flavour and hope to get you out these soon! I would LOVE to go back.
I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to know what you think!
Full post about it all on my blog:
This is one of a set of three castle bowls as I call them. I fell in love with the castle and won it on ebay. I thought I was bidding on two and when the shipment arrived the seller had given me three. She just couldn't break up the trio I guess. My gain!! I have the other two on a shelf in my kitchen. The little kitty is a flea market find or a gift from my Daughter. I made the lampshade and the little pot is Dutch with daisies.
I actually woulda LOVED to see these "sketched-out" in 3-D, some may have been "better" than the one that was built
(as is- often the case!)
This is actually an overexposed image. I have to darken and make it B&W so that it will look ok to my eyes.
Another full-size 'model' aircraft, actually the original X-1E (46-063) which was the last X-1 variant, a re-vamp of the second original X-1 prototype design, which first flew in December of 1955; one of many retired X-planes at Edwards AFB. This is one of the three surviving X-1's: Chuck Yeager broke the sound-barrier with X-1 (46-062) in October of 1947, which is in the Smithsonian in Washington; and the third, X-1B (48-1385), which had its first flight in September of 1954, and had a lengthened fuselage, is at the United States Airforce Museum near Dayton, Ohio. I'm happy to say that I've seen all three.
Actually, it may be morning for you but it's the end of my day--I just got back from work. Good night...er, have a nice day!
