Guess who's back? Actually, it was a nice surprise this morning when I walked down to the basement and Ryan was there. It feels like he's been gone for quite a long time, and in reality I guess he has. Almost a month? Something like that. Actually it will be nice to catch up and to make some decisions about the coffee. I think Chris and I have both felt a little unhinged about some of the coffees, especiallt the Guat, considering we have very little experience and nothing to base our profiles on.

Tonight was my mom's 92nd Birthday. We had a huge surprise for her. My sister came in from Norway and her daughter brought her 2 kids up from Texas. This picture shows $ generations of the women in my family.

1971 Datsun 240Z with an sr20de-t. I have fabbed in a rear subframe from a 1990 Nissan 240SX S13 as well as the complete IRS from the S13. This includes the differential from a R32 Skyline and axles. I have also fabbed in the S13 front crossmember which allows me to use all of the suspension components from the S13. In order to make this work, I actually had to extend the wheelbase of the Datsun by about 7.5". This actually helps because the Datsun has a short wheelbase as it is, so this longer wheelbase puts it at about the same as the S13.

I did a last minute thing. Using my calico toile, I decided to vamp it up with safety pins as fastenings and then cut up some old jeans. My friend did my makeup and Overall quite happy with how it turned out. Not that it really mattered since we all got quite intoxicated at the party XD.

This is actually a very old photograph I took back in 2004 or 2005. I\'ve always liked it. I\'m entering it into a photo contest to see how it will fare.
This was taken in Los Angeles in an abandoned hospital. One of the first large abandoned buildings I ever explored and photographed. Judging from the gated off sections of hallway and the smaller isolation rooms, this was in the psyche ward of the hospital. It was still mostly untouched by vandals or film crews at the time. The hospital did serve as a mental health facility for a period before it was closed down. I have not been there since. It is currently owned by a production company and used primarily for filming. Which kind of takes the magic out of the place in my opinion. But I was happy to see it when I did.
