i'm not actually sad, today was a good day,
Nick and I went into work for 2 and a half hours but were sent home because of incoming bad weather. We ended up watching the history channel with Anna and dad until we fell asleep.
Easy day. Relaxing Day.
Actually I went to my raw land to photograph something else and I’ve been so lucky with birds. I have this lens since spring and I only got one bird till now while today I was able to photograph many. The small one is so funny
Actually, not my lawn, but if you get the reference (very loose reference) you're thinking potholes...
Actually they were all pink and looked the same so it could be a boy..I'm assuming it's a girl cause it has psychotic eyes. :-)
These clothes actually work really well on the Yosds. The socks are way too small and the shoes don't fit, but everything else is a good fit! The leggings are too long, but they look pretty good as baggies.
Steve and I took a mid-February vacation in Grand Bahama. We rented a condo for a week, drove all over the island, and generally sunned ourselves on the beach.
Actually, they are called "cattle egrets" but in the absence of cattle, they are happy to follow a lawnmower around.
Local fisherman along the Li River. These guys actually train and leash local birds to dive and catch the fish for them, you can see this guys bird on left of his skiff. A collar around the bird's neck prevents them from actually swallowing the catch which is then claimed by the fisherman. I wonder how long this way of life will go on with the increasing influx of tourism in this region?
This is actually January 1st. I may have a very stilted view of Oaxaca as I only really saw it on Dec 31st and Jan 1st, but it seemed like a great little city. Tons of people on the main square enjoying the postcard weather, people walking on the streets like these. Just a happy couple days...

We had our final walkthrough yesterday. Everything looked good. I was so excited that I had a cheap lunch downtown at Food Mart and sketched the layout while it was still fresh in my mind. We can't wait to move!
Actually a tent caterpillar nest over the river. Played around with shutter speeds until river looked webby too.
A Parducci. And Albert Kahn. Somewhere I have a picture of me photographing this or one of its comrades. Which should appear soon. One day I went to photograph these and the place was crawling with police, but I marched in with my camera anyway and was collared by the gendarmes who informed me that a bomb threat had been called in and the building was being evacuated and WHY had I chosen that exact moment to come and take pictures? it actually took longer than you might expect to get out of that situation cleanly. That is Police Interaction # 106 eeeeeeeek
