As I have been on Flickr for a few years now, most of you know, I work for Coca-Cola. I’ve been working a long time, and I’ve never been more inspired. I’m especially excited about our “Arctic Home” project.

Together with WWF and people like you, Coca-Cola is helping to establish a safe refuge for the polar bear—a goal that will require working with local communities, supporting research and carrying out additional conservation work. As part of this initiative, Coca-Cola has created Arctic Home, our biggest effort to date to protect the polar bear and its habitat. Coca-Cola has pledged $2 million to help fund the creation of a safe refuge and—with your help—we can do even more. In that spirit, Coca-Cola has also agreed to match up to $1 million of consumer donations made through Arctic Home by March 15, 2012.
This holiday season, Coca-Cola is also turning our iconic red cans white for the first time in history and including a product code on participating Coca-Cola products that allows you to make a matched donation through Arctic Home. Simply text the product code to 357357 and make a matched $1 donation. You can also make a donation with or without a product code on this site. And to thank you for joining us in supporting the polar bear, you will receive a virtual parcel of Arctic Home in your name that you can use as a base for exploring and tracking real polar bears.
The Coca-Cola Polar Bear and I are old friends, and actually, we’ve both matured. I’m sure the character and animation are ever evolving. He was taller, “bigger” and more animated. ;o) This photo is kind of dark, but I wanted to post it anyway to tell you about the Arctic Home project.
I had a great time in Atlanta, and a productive trip workwise as well. Only downside, I developed sciatica pain Thursday, which became severe on Friday. If you've ever had it, you know what I mean. I can't sit, stand or walk without whincing with white hot pain! It's bizarre. I'm taking care and will see my chiropractor on Monday. In the meantime, I've been laying down and treating with an ice pack at regular intervals.

Fatty George (actually Franz Georg Pressler) * April 24 1927 Vienna, † March 29, 1982 Vienna (Central Cemetery, grove of honour of cultural workers, Group 40, Number 146), jazz clarinetist, bandleader. Originally trained in classical disciplines, he developed into one of the most prominent representatives of the Austrian jazz scene. Performed after the Second World War in Vienna American soldiers clubs, however, opened in 1955 at the "Tabarin" (1, Anna alley 3) his "Jazz Casino" (interpretation of the classic [New Orleans, Dixieland] and modern jazz) and moved with his band in 1958 on St Peter's Square 3 ("Fatty's Saloon", which evolved into the most important Viennese jazz club). Here appeared until 1964 numerous American guest stars of international standing. Subsequently, Fatty worked in Germany and West Berlin but he lost in the 1960s and 1970s in popularity. In 1974 he founded the "Crew", blending elements of jazz and pop. Most recently, he became through the television request program "Fatty live" once again popular.

Actually, big cats of a different color. The one in the foreground and in the center each have six legs while the one at the far right has eight legs and two heads. All of their eyes light up at night. The sculptures are entitled, King of the Urban Jungle and the artist is Ilona Malka Rich.
The four of us enjoying Gette's wedding. I think Allen was trying to talk to whom ever was taking our picture. We had a good time this day.
Actually just a photo of monkeys helping each other search for ticks, but this photo really reminded me of some drama-filled classical oil painting, hence the dramatic title. And yes there is a reference to the Planet of the Apes.
actually pretty much my only broadside ever, but more significantly, this represents my first ever try at letterpress printing, ever! around this time a year ago I'd never even really seen a letterpress before. The little print shop in the farmer's museum in cooperstown, where I attended my first ever workshop, has a ridiculously extensive collection of type...
I actually didn't want to buy any doll from this collection because they are not very detailed. But they are just way to cute, could not resist them xD

According to a Coquille tribal legend, the face in "Face Rock" belongs to Ewauna, daughter of Chief Siskiyou, who had traveled here to a great potlatch feast in his honor. Ewauna had never seen the ocean before, so one night she sneaked to the beach for a moonlight swim. In the water she was grabbed by the evil ocean spirit Seatka. But she refused to look into his eyes, knowing that this was how he controlled his victims. Instead she fixed her stare on the North Star, and defiantly gazes there even today.
(A potlatch is a gift-giving feast that was held on the occasion of births, deaths, adoptions, weddings, and other major events).
This actually is an outtake from a challenge on www.ljosmyndakeppni.is. The competition is curves, I took two kind of photos, this one and another one, I went with the other one. The setup is simple, a single flash beamed at the sealing, a roll of almost white (a little brownish) paper hung up on the wall and rolled out over the dining table and my camera. I'll show you the other one after the challenge is over.
Þetta er mynd sem ég tók fyrir keppni á www.ljosmyndakeppni.is. Keppnin heitir kúrvur, en ég tók tvenns konar myndir, annars vegar þessa og hins vegar aðra (sem rataði í keppnina). Uppsetningin er mjög einföld, ég nappaði pappírsrúllu sem Bjarki Fannar á, hengdi upp á vegg og rúllaði út yfir borðstofuborðið, skellti flassi á vélina og beindi því upp í loft og beindi myndavélinni að myndefninu.
Ég er enn að stúdera lýsingu og finnst ég hafa tekið massífum framförum síðasta árið. Ég hef náttúrulega tekið mikið af körfuboltamyndum, mér finnst framfarirnar (tæknilega séð) vera gríðarlegar. Sama gildir um myndir með flassi, myndir í náttúrulegri birtu o.s.frv. Ég er þó langt frá því að vera jafn góður og ég vil vera, en maður hættir aldrei að læra.

Actually they misspelled the title, it is The Jane Austen Book Club.
A good movie, the end a little too sweet for my taste. A good, solid cast of actors.
But what made it even more interesting is that I stayed until the very end checking the names of the people that worked on the movie set (other than the actors) and I recognized the name of my friend Lou. That made my day!!
Ví una película que se llama The Jane Austen Book Club. , es bastante buena, tiene un buen cast de actores, el final demasiado rosa para mi gusto. Me quedé hasta el final y miré los nombres de toda la gente que participó en la filmación de la peli (los actores y la gente que está en la parte técnica), tenía una corazonada que iba a encontrar.... y de hecho fue así... el nombre de Lou.

It has taken me 35 years to actually get these photo's, they arrived today, all of these photo's were taken in India in 1975,

When we opened the barn at the Maharajas Palace, that this car was stored in, it was like walking back in time, into an Aladins Cave, totally mind blowing, there were several Rolls Royce Cars, along with a 1920 Double decker open toped bus, a pre 1920's motorbike, model steam trains 4 inch gauge, which were scaled copies down to the last detail of the original trains, given or sold to the Maharaja, there were also boxes and boxes of animal skins, Tigers Bears Antilope, Deer, its something i will never forget as long as i live. Magical
Actually, she helped serve at the Jeannette American Legion Spaghetti Dinner which benefits Homebound Disabled Veterans. (good catch Dave.)
Actually i just tried several setting of my cheap manual flash.. but that time my brother just woke up and sit around with those face and then i combine the picture hehe.. love this :D

The picture on the cover is not exactly a realistic representation of the food contained within the box. { The chocolate brownie was drunk through a straw , for a good portion of the meal}
Actually I was just trying out the new camera, a Kodak Z981 with a Schneider Variogon lens with ED glass. It was drizzly, great light and the red on the buses was more intense. I like the curve of the waterway, echoed by the red buses and the building in the rear. Not bad for a fully automatic shot.
