The four of us enjoying Gette's wedding. I think Allen was trying to talk to whom ever was taking our picture. We had a good time this day.
Actually, big cats of a different color. The one in the foreground and in the center each have six legs while the one at the far right has eight legs and two heads. All of their eyes light up at night. The sculptures are entitled, King of the Urban Jungle and the artist is Ilona Malka Rich.
Actually just a photo of monkeys helping each other search for ticks, but this photo really reminded me of some drama-filled classical oil painting, hence the dramatic title. And yes there is a reference to the Planet of the Apes.
Actually there were two brief showers during my visit to this area of Galway.
Claddagh is an area close to the centre of Galway city, where the River Corrib meets Galway Bay. It was a fishing village, just outside the old city walls. It is just across the river from the Spanish Arch, which was the location of regular fish markets where the locals supplied the city with seafood as recently as the end of the 19th century. People have been gathering seafood and fishing from the area for millennia. It is one of the oldest former fishing villages in Ireland - its existence having been recorded since the arrival of Christianity in the 5th century.
During the 19th century the Claddagh attracted many visitors, including writers who spread its fame. The original village of thatched cottages was razed in the 1930s and replaced by a council-housing scheme.
Actually we came the way down from the other side of that sign, so we didn’t recognized it before. Luck for us, that there aren’t any mines at all or we didn’t found them ;-).
From this point I remember a german dictum: “Wer suchet der findet, wer drauftritt verschwindet“
Actually these were driving the dust exhaust at the Cedar Creek Grist Mill (built 1869) near Woodland, Washington.
Actually taken 2010 (will have to change that batch frame text!). Nice to play with f22, polarizer & good trusty Slik tripod (with ball socket manfrotto head). I wanted to get inside the rock & light on a quick half hour grab on the newly named :) SilkCharm cove just down from our place in Tamarama. South Bondi Beach.
Actually it's the same lens I use all the time, but took it off the camera and looked through it.
All my clouds are upside down.
Actually, she helped serve at the Jeannette American Legion Spaghetti Dinner which benefits Homebound Disabled Veterans. (good catch Dave.)
The picture on the cover is not exactly a realistic representation of the food contained within the box. { The chocolate brownie was drunk through a straw , for a good portion of the meal}
Actually there was a whole lotta sweating going on Saturday night. This is what I looked like after spending 3+ hours outside in the 90 degree heat.
Realisation we are actually travelling on one more train rather than getting a taxi home. Out voted 3 to 1 the rest of us felt we should do the whole journey of Potsdamer Platz to Chester Road by rail, and we did. Sadly there is no final shot at the Chester Road as the request was given a polite refusal.
“Actually, it was only part of myself I wanted to kill: the part that wanted to kill herself, that dragged
me into the suicide debate and made every window, kitchen implement, and subway station a rehearsal
for tragedy.”

Outside the Post House Hotel, Palatine Road, Manchester M22
Greater Manchester Fire Service ERF appliance, GJA714N 84PF Kerbell from D41 King Street fire station, West Stockport,
The incident is in D46 Wythenshawes area, near the junction of Princess Parkway a
Major road from south Manchester to Manchester city centre, the appliance was an ex Stockport appliance. (With thanks to John Redmond).
The bus was 7940: registration number BNC940T. From memory the appliance came through the lights and hit the bus. The most astonishing thing was the bus actually straddled a pedestrian subway. The implications of what might have happened there don't bear thinking about. (Norman Price).
The bus is a route 102 going to Woodhouse Park via Moss Side, Wythenshaw Park and Firbank Road.
I took a 15second exposure using a slow fill flash and this lit up the snow flakes within the foreground to give quite a good depth to the picture. Kingsnorth power station is in the back beyond the Medway Estuary.
Actually, waiting for my friend Paola, and I thought I´d take a few shots of the cathedral on the Plaza de Armas while I was at it.
Actually.. this is just to the left of the house I photographed a few back on my photostream!
I just loved how the grassy field twists and turns behind the row of trees.
