Actually she taking a picture of Face Rock framing it with the Gorse.

Bandon, Oregon.

According to a Coquille tribal legend, the face in "Face Rock" belongs to Ewauna, daughter of Chief Siskiyou, who had traveled here to a great potlatch feast in his honor. Ewauna had never seen the ocean before, so one night she sneaked to the beach for a moonlight swim. In the water she was grabbed by the evil ocean spirit Seatka. But she refused to look into his eyes, knowing that this was how he controlled his victims. Instead she fixed her stare on the North Star, and defiantly gazes there even today.

(A potlatch is a gift-giving feast that was held on the occasion of births, deaths, adoptions, weddings, and other major events).

Actually this wasn't at the autojumble but parked near the Buttercross in Bungay so having parked my bike a little way away I walked by it. Still in use and unrestored I would say. CB200B Honda with one of those horrid cable discs on the front.

Actually it is an Armstrong Siddeley Hurricane, built c1950. It is one of a small fleet owned by Cromer Classic Cars and used for special events inc. weddings. It is pictured here on the quay at Wells.

Actually, the "laundry tower" is ALMOST empty as you can see by the dark masses of soiled clothing that are visible through the opaque plastic tubs. I saw this at IKEA a few years ago and immediately thought this would be a great solution to the problem of always having a full laundry basket, but not really enough for a single load. It has worked out beautifully. One of my better ideas!!!

Today was all about the drudgeries of domesticity like emptying the dishwasher, folding clothes, washing clothes, reviewing sales fliers, making grocery lists and that is all before I even got out the door to shop.

I actually spent the day grocery shopping this was the best of those types of pics. With the driving and all it took about 3.5 HOURS to go to the bank, the State Farmer's Market (worth it for what I saved on the strawberries and the red bell peppers alone), Aldi, and Kroger. Even then, I still needed stuff from Publix, but since it was late I ended up sitting in traffic and all the car exhaust made my bronchial tubes start closing up. So, I called hubby and he cheerfully picked up the remaining items from Publix on his way home. I AM SO BLESSED TO HAVE SUCH A SWEET AND LOVING HUSBAND!

I KNOW that the amount of time involved here borders on ridiculous, but I really enjoy going to the State Farmers Market and I tend to wander a bit before buying. I'm making some special recipes and I need what I need. But, now I'm ready for the New Year's Brunch I'm hosting for my family. YiKes, tomorrow I have to chop vegetables and prepare all of that stuff!

Actually, they're voting for what they'd like for dinner.
