Actually just a snapshop of the wonderful Messeturm in Frankfurt, Germany, which turned out really nice. Shot with the Canon 300x and the pancake 40mm 2.8 STM on Fujifilm. Scanned raw with Vuescan and processed in The Gimp.

Actually, this car is customized to the point where it's difficult to tell if it's a '55 or a '56. The grille is from a '54 De Soto and the side trim came from a '55 Pontiac. The vertical bumper guards have been removed and the fender skirts are of the Mercury Turnpike Cruiser style.

There are several temples in the area, so it's not uncommon to see Buddhist monks or nuns walking the streets of Chinatown. As you can see, they also enjoy a cup of coffee now and then! They walked past me after they'd cross the street, and I can tell you the old monk was a bit cantankerous. Maybe he should have had a cup of coffee too!

By the way, these are not really Shaolin monks. There is a Shaolin outlet in Queens, not sure if they have monks there. Based on the direction these monks were headed, my guess is that they might be from the Red Immortal temple on Bowery.

Actually, these are jennys, but they were quite comical, so I couldn't resist the title.
