Actually took this shot using my Samsung Galaxy note 3 using its "Surround" setting pretty good result considering!
He is actually very quiet and doesn’t mess with things during the night. I may hear him around 7am but my son always gets up and takes care of him. Henry actually has a very soft and tiny meow. That is very funny to me because of how big he is and aggressive/full of energy he is. I think he is getting better, but I hope he will be a loveable cuddly cat someday. I do wonder if he lays here by my son’s door all night, or if he moves to the chair or his own bed. I actually haven’t seen him lay in the fluffy big dog bed I bought him since about the second week we had him. We adopted him on 8/26/2020.
SN/NC: Ramphastos toco, Ramphastidae Family
The toco toucan (Ramphastos toco), also known as the common toucan or giant toucan, is the largest and probably the best known species in the toucan family. It is found in semi-open habitats throughout a large part of central and eastern South America. It is a common attraction in zoos.
The toco toucan has conspicuously contrasting plumage with a mainly black body, a white throat, chest and uppertail-coverts, and red undertail-coverts. What appears to be a blue iris is actually thin blue skin around the eye. This blue skin is surrounded by another ring of bare, orange skin. The most noticeable feature, however, is its huge bill, which measures from 15.8 to 23 cm (6+1⁄4 to 9 in) in length, which is yellow-orange, tending to deeper reddish-orange on its lower sections and culmen, and with a black base and large spot on the tip.
The toco toucan occurs in northern and eastern Bolivia, extreme south-eastern Peru, northern Argentina, eastern and central Paraguay, and eastern and southern Brazil (excluding southern Rio Grande do Sul, the dry regions dominated by Caatinga vegetation and coastal regions between Ceará and Rio de Janeiro). Other disjunct populations occur along the lower Amazon River (Ilha de Marajó west approximately to the Madeira River), far northern Brazil in Roraima, coastal regions of the Guianas and it has been recently registered in north-west Uruguay. It only penetrates the Amazon in relatively open areas (e.g. along rivers). It is resident, but local movements may occur.
The toco toucan eats fruit using its bill to pluck them from trees, but also insects, frogs, small reptiles, small birds and their eggs and nestlings. The nest is typically placed high in a tree and consists of a cavity, at least part of which is excavated by the parent birds themselves. It has also been recorded nesting in holes in earth-banks and terrestrial termite-nests. These birds are very protective of themselves and their chicks.

Actually, this doesn't look like any other Mum we possess, but that's what the sticker says, so I'm sticking with it.
As an aside, I think my neighbors think I'm very strange, running around the yard with a camera, getting very close to things.
Actually, it's only one of my happy places (you need as many of those as you can get); I love ending my days sitting on my patio on mild Sumer and Fall evenings....
Actually, this is a photo of an iguana that I came across during a visit to Victoria's Butterfly Garden. However, to anything smaller than the fellow above, it is very much a dragon. The photo was taken in August 2017, with my trusty Olympus digital camera. See large. Enjoy.
Soooo as owner pictures of the Minifee FLAM head have started coming in I've actually grown to like it quite a lot! I really like the shape of its face, nose and especially the lips, though the shape and largeness of the eyes were what put me off it initially. Even so the more I kept looking at it the more I kept feeling that I wanted to keep mine even though for a while I really didn't know why. But like most sculpts that captivate me for some reason, eventually after seeing them enough I figure out its because subconsciously they remind me of one of my characters its just that sometimes it just takes me a while to figure which one. xD
Since it was mainly the eyes of the FLAM head that I didn't like, I decided to try playing around with some mock-ups of eye mods I could possibly do on it and see if anything (anyone) specific came to me. And then, viola! I figured it out!
TwT With a bit of modding, the face reminded me a lot of Rumor, my little Fallindoll Force fennec fox. To be honest, I haven't really done anything with her in a long time and she's been very neglected among my dolls. xD I bet at this point there are a lot of you who forgot I had her or didn't even know I had her at all haha//shot
TwT Anyways, truth be told I have been thinking of her for a while now and if there is anything I could do for her to inspire me more. What little of a story she had was never really very fleshed out and I wasn't very inspired to work on it until recently when I realized how much i'd sort of forgotten her. Then with noticing how well she suits the FLAM head I started thinking about her story more and developing it and also making some changes. Its not too much so far and some of it I don't want to spoil yet, but if you are interested in hearing some of it I'll write it below~
^u^ Anyways, yeah, i'm still working out exactly how I might want the human (FLAM) version of her to look but I've been working on this little mock-up and I like the direction it is going so far. I'm still not sure how much of the old anthro version of Rumor I want to incorporate into her new/human version, but I made her blushing a lot like how hers is now and I actually think I like it a lot like this but I guess we'll see if it works well irl or if it needs more fiddling xD
o3o If what i'm thinking for her ends up working out, I think in the future I'll also want to reshell her anthro version as well. Not because I don't like the doll or anything, but I just feel that I want her to be smaller, like the size of a small/med stuffed animal plushie in a Minifee's hands. ^w^ So, a Pukifee! I think she'd be perfect as a Pukifee Pukisha and honestly i've wanted one forever (and a Pukifee in general too) but just never had an excuse to get one before haha //shot
Plus since she was always meant to be a voodo doll, I think having that form of her so tiny would be a lot better.
TuT Anyways, no promises yet. If the human version of her works out then i'll see what happens from there. I still have 3 other dolls and a few bodies that have priority over anything else so i'll have lots of time to think it over and work on her story more.
(Also lol in case you wonder about her eyebrows, even though I never got around to it in her previous version Rumor's fox version has always been designed to have blue hair. In her human form though I think I might make it both pink and blue or maybe a pink/blue/yellow pastel rainbow so hence crazy eyebrows and lash colors xDD //shot)
//STORY BLAH TEXTWALL AHOY
Originally the small extent of her character was only that she was a voodoo doll made in the likeness of another person, the young princess of the forest kingdom, a fox girl. Originally since Rumor as a doll was an anthro Fennec fox, I imagined both of them being anthro foxes but in thinking about it further I think I prefer the idea that they are more kemonomimi like. Well, at least the young princess is anyways. Lately i've been thinking that instead of Rumor being just a living voodoo doll of the young princess that instead she herself is actually the princess's twin sister. Unfortunately when she was born, she did not exhibit any animal characteristics and appeared as merely human. Within the forest kingdom the only people permitted to live there are those who are half-animal (kemonomimi) or fully animal (anthro) and because she appeared to be born as only human it was decided that she would live in the human kingdom where they felt she would "better belong". After many years, the fact that the young princess of the forest ever had a twin sister became forgotten in time (whether purposeful or not) and became known as fairytale, or if you prefer, as just a ...rumor.
I won't say by whom or why exactly yet, but I will say that at some point a "Witch Doctor" wishes to take control of the young princess of the forest and uses dark magic to do so. They craft a sort of "voodoo doll", if you will, or a lifeless puppet in her likeness meant to capture the soul the young princess and imbue dark magic into the threads, buttons, ribbons and pins they thread through the gashes they had torn through the doll. Unbeknownst to them initially, The dark magic meant for the young princess was instead cast upon that of her long forgotten twin sister. Furious that their magic appeared to not be working, they acted carelessly and before the spell could be finished they filled the doll more and more with pins and stitched more dark threads through its limbs as they were cut and torn off, altering the spell that was intended. As more and more damage was done and dark magic was imbued into the voodoo doll the more the long lost sister gradually began to absorb the dark magic and with more and more being forced into it, it began to change her body to reflect that of the doll itself.
Though the magic did not do as was intended from using far too much, the Witch Doctor soon realized that the doll HAD absorbed a portion of someone's soul, but not the one they were after. Instead, the rumor of a long lost human sister of the young princess was true and the doll had captured her soul instead, though as the spell was tampered with before it was finished, not in its entirety.
Instead of separating the soul from her body completely leaving her human body an empty vessel, it had instead been left with a small piece of her soul and the rest had become filled with the surplus of dark magic all but surrounding the small bit that remained.
Though it was not what was intended the Witch Doctor soon realized that this unfortunate turn of events was actually quite a boon for them as now they had a new "minion" in this human body.
Being that nobody knew that she actually existed and was passed through the lands as a mere rumor, they decided this was a fitting name to call her.
Though her soul was torn in two ,one trapped in a doll, both sides of her learning the truth of who she was by the Witch Doctor (and who the Witch Doctor was as well) and how she had been abandoned it opened her eyes and though both with different levels of hatred, vengeance, happiness, and sadness both sides of herself joined forces with that of the Witch Doctor help to carry out their plans. She abandoned the human name and human life that she had before as in her eyes it was "better to be a rumor than a lie".
You could say that the doll version of Rumor (the more animal version) is the sweeter, more reasonable version though is still very feisty by nature and not to mentioned literally somewhat hollow, damaged and scorned. The human version of her isn't completely without morals or a conscience and does have very clear ambitions and determination, but is also very unfiltered, impatient, provocative, manipulative, and sadistic. There is still a part of her soul that remains intact and both in look and the way they act you can easily tell they are the same person but because this side's piece of the soul is so small and housed in a body filled with dark magic its also safe to say that any negative feelings and emotions that the doll version of her would have are significantly more extreme in the human version.
Actually, this is my attempt to recover a peak moment from a Google Photos Assistant animation.
I really wish Google Assistant's animations would play on Flickr.
I should post that on a Flickr discussion group.
Yes I should.
It would be a reasonable improvement request to make of SmugMug...;))
Actually, I love the south. If it weren't for these little demons and what the humidity does to my hair, I might consider returning. Okay, who am I kidding...I'm a mountain girl, thru and thru.
Actually, it's Ms. Bubba. She likes to pose for the camera. Cute, yah?
(No I wasn't that close -- 300mm)
actually he came for bath too but I think I scared him away. haven't seen this little bird around before today.
I actually wanted to shoot somewhere else, but I was outvoted. Which is really my fault, should've never opened it up to the democratic process.
But sure, it was gorgeous on the beach, the clouds having slid east along the skies, probably off to join their brethren over by Griffith Park for the great hail party we'd driven out of in order to make our way to the coast.
Windy but bright, just enough of that billowy white texture up in the sky to break up the blue.
Frankly, I've preferred this kind of weather, of late. Yesterday was clear HOT blue skies, and I'd had more than my share of that as a background. Want a bit of diversity, probably gonna find some homes to take photographic refuge in pretty soon.
Make no mistake, I am not tired of the sun. My camera is just after the sun Plus a bit more.
And oh yeah! Easy fix for the classic "I'm on the beach with bright light however shall I light both Jenny AND the background." 80s film camera flash. Ta da!
Actually, I'm surprised this came out at all. There were a lot of thin clouds that were picking up the orangey light pollution from the west. About an hour and a half total time, 177 30-sec exposures stacked. The two lateral short streaks in the upper right probably from satellites. For Glen, what do I do for 1.5 hours? If I can see my camera from my car, I might sit and read or play games on my IPad. If I can't see the camera from the car (as in this image), I hang out next to it, contemplating the heavens ;-)

Thankfully, one of his uncle's men drinks it first, and is killed. Who would do such a thing, in broad daylight?!

Actually it all disappeared today. This pic is from a few days ago. Time to bring out the Spring outfits.
The Empress
(Well read on about the beautiful Empress hotel but this is actually picture of the BC Parliament Buildings. The Empress is located to the left. Thanks Dan.)
The stunningly beautiful Empress hotel is located Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. How awesome is a place that daily serves 800 in the Tea Room, kind of makes me wish I liked tea.
The hotel faces the Inner Harbour and during the summer months is the place to be. Stay long enough to see the sun go down and the night lights come up. Victoria is truly an amazing city and I hope I get to return soon.

Actually, there were five of them but one just decided not to have anything to do with the rest of the family.
There must be a reason why they fish together as a group. To trap the victim, perhaps?
Have a wonderful Wednesday, hump day, everyone! I hope yor week is going well so far.
Thank you so much for stopping by and for your kind comments. They are very much appreciated!
Actually, I don't know what this is. Golden toad was the best I could come up with, if anyone knows better, please let me know. I saw him hopping across the path at French Creek trail and he was so fast this was the best shot I could get.
Actually a blend of 3 exposures;
1 for the lower light trails
1 for the yellow on the left & car going round the front
1 for the higher red on the right.
im actually really really happy with this! :D
hours and hours of hard work went into this photo. hope its top model worthy :D
i just want to point out that goth isn't about wearing black, or all the stereotypes, etc. its a group of people who are tired of 'you have to do this', and 'you have to do that'. they want to create who they are without people telling them what to do. a way they rebel is by dressing in darker colors or wearing clothing that's different.
i had many inspirations for this. i searched up goth editions from vogue and WOWWW they were incredible! :D
i might possibly redo if another rainy day comes by xD
Actually a daytime shot with unloading light leak. Holga 120N, 720nm infrared film with Catlabs 320 Pro film, pushed to ISO 1600.
Well, actually it's a Chevelle Malibu - perhaps even a posh Malibu Classic. It's hard to tell, because all parts that would identify it have been swapped. It could easily be a 1976 too, with a 1977 grille. I do wonder why the owner kept the crunchy old driver's door? And I would've loved to see it before the panels were swapped.
A recent purchase; no smog since it is old enough to be exempt.
Actually, Michelle is always smiling. I don't know anyone else that smiles more. Even when she is pissed off she still manages to giggle more than most people do when they are in a good mood. Her positivity is welcome around my dreary house this time of year (she's one of my three beautiful roommates). Except sometimes in the mornings I want to kill her. Then again, I pretty much want to kill everyone in the mornings. Not really my thing. Hence why I choose to wake up closer to 1pm on days when I have that option. Better to just avoid mornings altogether.
Taken at the Oregon Coast in September just south of Waldport. I completely forgot about the 200 photos I took that weekend until two days ago. Ha.
Actually showing the orange crown, too! Was looking for a photo of a House Wren, but this works too :P
Actually, on a Pueblo, not a Reservation, and I'm sure someone will explain the difference to me eventually.
Actually a gator...just a bit of literary license.
For some reason I just can't get "El Condor Pasa" out of my head.
just wish I didn't have to shave so close two nights on the trot, one very sore neck! Just wish I didn't have to shave at all! :-((
Actually this clever panorama maker says 110km from this spot
www.udeuschle.de/panoramas/panqueryfull.aspx?mode=newstan... somewhere in the Lincolnshire wolds. More interestingly is the view down to the road bridge over the Ladybower reservoir. Above and beyond stretches the Peak District down to Wolfscote Hill (not visible on this day!)
Actually this necklace I've had for ages but never found anything to wear with it...UNTIL NOW! I hope you like this look and I am still yet to get around to answering mail, hang in there! xx

Actually, this coat is not needed when the sun is shining like this, but I thought it added a touch of sexiness.. :-P
At least, that's what I thought when I saw these French business babes in Paris last summer! ;-)
Actually, one is Tina. Double Agents Tina Tanaka and Poppy Parker out for a stroll (with friend). Dresses by Bellissima Couture.
I'm actually quite fond of the composition here with the male common bluet (Enallagma cyathigerum) sitting over the missing piece of the reed, but to be honest - it is faked.
Not much faked, but the dent was actually a bit lower down on the stem so I cut it out using Photoshop and reinserted it a little closer to the damsel so I could have a closer crop and still have both damsel and dent in frame but taking up a larger part of the image.
The way I figure it, if I tell you about what I did, it becomes less of a no-no, right?
For comparison, here is what the female bluet looks like in an older shot: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/49102062778/ - ie not blue at all.
Actually I think this Barred Owl may be Ollie's mate, Olive. She was not out in the open and was very flighty. Once she saw me approach she took off. When I went up on the hill Ollie was looking down at me. Wish there was a better way to tell male from female Barred Owls besides the obvious.
I actually did it. After all this time I made a proper build for the Unnamed universe and wrote something for it! I've no idea where it fits in, but the important thing is it's not another world-building post.
Rain falls as Batman races through the streets. Victor Zsasz, Psychotic, unpredictable, has broken out of Blackgate. Imprisoned for nearly two decades, he's bound to kill again. And Batman has to stop him.
He reaches the corner of Wayne Square, but he's too late. The dilapidated buildings, falling apart with years of neglect, frame our scene. A woman, lies face down on the ground, blood trailing off into a murky pool of water. She's dead, has been for at least 10 minutes. Batman looks up to see Zsasz, leaning against the railing, smoking a cigarette, looking mournfully at his work.
He looks up, flickers of ember falling from the lit cigarette, sizzling against the sodden concrete.
"It's changed" he says absentmindedly. "This city, it's worse now, worse than it's ever been."
Batman says nothing. Gotham's been on the downward grind for a while now. While Neo-Gotham grows more rich by the day, Old Gotham just keeps getting worse. Before you'd see the rich and famous donating money to various causes, trying to help those in need, but now they lock themselves away in Neo-Gotham, safely away from the wretches and the filth of the old city.
"No one came for her y'know." Zsasz sighs. "She screamed and screamed and no one came. They all just locked their doors, pulled the shutters down, and pretended this grisly deed wasn't happening."
"Then why do it Victor?"
Zsasz flicked the cigarette away and stretched his arms out. "The same reason as sixteen years ago Batman, it was a mercy killing, freeing her from the hell that is Gotham city!"
He chuckled, a raspy chuckle that would send a chill up your spine. "It's so much worse now, since the Joker killed Batman, since the old guard died, even worse when they shut down Arkham." He held his arms out in front of him. "May as well take me back to Blackgate, I just wanted to see how it had changed. This isn't my Gotham anymore, and these people don't deserve to be saved."
Well that was rather depressing wasn't it. Unfortunately this is the world that Batman II lives in, where charity is dead and people hide away rather than help. Hopefully the next instalment (if there is one) will be a bit more uplifting.
And as usual, there's ore pics on Instagram: www.instagram.com/p/CosqSmCIBvs/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
Actually, just a surfer, still on board, who braved the cold Pacific without a wetsuit at Huntington Beach, California.
Huntington Beach is also known as Surf City, USA and the US Open of Surfing is held there each July. The town is located about 36 miles south from downtown Los Angles and while it is a beautiful retreat today, the internet has photos of the beach littered with oil wells during the not too distant past.
I've seen photographers on the beach with tripods and long lenses. This photo was captured from the pier with a hand held 70-200 at 200 mm. It is cropped pretty heavily though.
Have a great 4th of July everyone.
