Actually a several years old snapshot updated with iphone

High Key effort with floral background double exp for added softness to Snapseed for several vignettes.

Actually made as a gift for a good friend who hosted me for a week in his flat.

One SB600 on each side, shot at 1/4 power, triggered by Commander unit of the D200, bounced off big white paper sheets.

1000 views on this photo !

Growing up (actually since High School's over - 3 years ago), I've been handling the Sunday afternoon crisis better. No more drama, no more stress about courses and homework I didn't do ... Now Sundays are all about taking care of me with this girly stuff that we, girls, love to do !

Nails, body creme, hair creme, trying new clothes, skin care... I love it

The book you see in the right side of the photo is "blonde attitude" which I borrowed to a friend. You can tell I was getting bored on holidays between two big food plates.

Hey, by the way, I had my hair cut yesterday ! I was pleased with the results :)

Actually 53 card pick up, since there is a joker. I bought these cards at a quilt show many years ago. Each design was made by different well known expert quilters. These have never been played with and never will.

Shoot 52-2020

Week 48

Thanks for views, comments and favs :)

Actually, I sent the request to authorities of our city about this problem (absence drainage system on Moscow's roads), but authorities answered me, that the rain water flows by itself through the natural slope, and that's fine (such is prescribed by normative documents).

Я писала запрос в мэрию Москвы по поводу отсутствия дренажной системы на дорогах, но получила ответ, что вода сама стекает по естественным склонам, и это нормально (так предусмотрено нормативными документами).

Actually no! I took the image on the wrong exposure but I thought it looked quite good!

I actually don't quite remember where this waterfalls is. I am pretty sure I shot this hand held as I was in a hurry with the local tour. I was shooting under a constant blast of the mist from the waterfalls as the wind was blowing toward me. It 's quite common to experience a sudden gusty wind in Iceland at any place. In any case, I had to use a lens coat to protect my camera and lens from the elements, eventhough they were weather resistance. Nonetheless, my Sony rig had been to rain and snow. So I had at least some confidence that it would survive my trip to Iceland. Not all lenses are weather sealed. So you need to check if there is a rubber gasket on their lens mount. For extra protection, I have a nylon lens coat covering my rig and it works perfectly. It 's simply just a sleave with open ends. You can even use a plastic bag to protect your gear. I actually did it that way when I went to Alaska.

As for my A7Rii and 24-105G lens used for this shot, they have been holding up quite well under adverse weather conditions. Under those circumstances, I could have brought my Canon DSLR and L glass. But they are just too damn heavy. I brought 4 lenses to this trip: a Tokina 20mm F2, Sony 24-105G, Zeiss 55mm F1.8, and Samyang 35mm F2.8. They all fit into my Amazon Basic sling bag. I tucked the whole sling bag into a Shimoda Designs Explore 40 backpack when I was traveling to catch my flight. My Gitzo GT0545T can be strapped to the side of either of my bag mentioned. Once I settle down at the hotel, I would just take out the Amazon sling bag from the Shimoda for my walkaround in town. And let me tell you. This small Gitzo carbon fiber tripod is among the best, if not the best, for international travel. It can be folded to less than 15" in length and is extremely light and sturdy. In fact, it 's now on sale at BHPhoto. Also it 's made in Italy and comes with a nice ball metal head that is comparable to the more expensive Really Right Stuff BH series. It 's a steal at that price.

actually a summer dress, but it was on sale

...actually this is three years ago, but Tussi did about the same today. Memory photo from FB.

Taken on September 19th, 2013

This black beauty is actually the same species as this: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/53840648772/ - a very small ground beetle known as Bembidion litorale.

The one in the other photo is the "regular" colour so this one is the odd one - but I have no idea why. Looks quite cool though.

This was shot at 3.3:1 mag so the grains of sand look quite large.

Actually a crystal, but who cares!

:)

Actually it was hot chocolate. Taken using my macro lens whilst waiting for a flight from Astana airport in Kazakhstan. Somethings do travel well.

actually I think she was trying to peep into my hiding place to see what was going on. She kept flying around and landing on different perches like she was trying to figure me out.

Actually, one of the columns is hidden behind the second from the right. The tourist in the picture became my 7th. This is a tourist attraction 25 minutes away from Las Vegas that draw a lot of selfie seekers. It was 118F (47.7 C) outside when I snapped this image.

Actually this picture, his photographic technique (DOF) and its title is a play on words, a set of acronyms, some kind of "pun". A pun (or paronomasia) is a phrase that deliberately exploits confusion between similar words for rhetorical effect, to make reader think, whether humorous or serious.

The term DOF (Depth of Field) describes the range in a photograph, from near to far, that appears to be in focus. Everyone knows that the more a lens is stopped down, the more depth of field there will be, (true). Most people also believe that wide angle lenses have more depth of field than telephoto lenses (false).

DOF: The area in an image from front to back that is in focus. The smaller the aperture (the larger the f-stop number), the more objects are in focus both near and distant. The wider the aperture (the smaller the f-stop number), elements in front of and behind the object in focus appear soft or blurry.

There is a DoF Group in Flickr: www.flickr.com/groups/dof/

Actually, you can tell from the headcode that this is a 'stopper' but '9F' No 92214, now in unlined black livery, is going well as she passes Swithland Sidings, seen from the footplate of 'Standard 2' No 78018 waiting in the Down loop with the minerals train.

Just seconds later, visiting SR Class S15 No 506 passed with an Up train, and opposite us in the Up loop was 'Derby Lightweight' single-car DMU No M79900.

All action at Swith during the Great Central Railway winter gala.

Two of my friends are in the process of restoring their ancestral family home far up in the Kii Mountains. There used to be seven houses in the village, but all the others have fallen into ruin over the last few decades. This is the view across the valley.

I actually have some time to play with photos today that aren't of client sessions, so I've looked back through a few months worth....aackkk! SO many photos I haven't done anything with....or even looked at since uploading.

Took a whole bunch of shots of my anemones, and this one I added the Florabella texture "Attache" on 2 layers with different blending modes.

I kinda like this tall guy!

Newborn session tomorrow, so will check out streams tonight!

Actually listed as "Untitled" this large work by the German artist Anselm Kiefer is dated 1945.

"This work belongs to a series of images that Kiefer created by juxtaposing the dark fossilized forms of sunflowers with images of a naked man. For Kiefer, dead sunflowers with their heads packed with seeds are potent symbols of death and rebirth. Here, they are joined by a figure who resembles the artist but may be Robert Fludd, a sixteenth-century English occultist who believed that every plant in the world had its own equivalent star in the firmament. In this dramatic woodcut presentation, with its attendant nationalistic connotations, Kiefer suggests a link between the individual and the cosmos."

On view at The Met Fifth Avenue in Gallery 915.

Actually I like to arranged still life images, it have enjoyed moment at home:)

Thank you to share your idea:)

Actually, these California Poppies are in my personal front-yard poppy field. I just came home this morning after an early birdie walk (thus the long focal length and high ISO), and these were open but still in the shade. I love this light. If you didn't know, poppies wrap up tight in the late afternoon and open again around mid-morning. Pretty smart, huh.

The weather is getting hot and dry now, so they may continue to last for awhile but the freshness is already wearing down.

Actually, this was Stormy Stars, but I changed it to Mystic Stars and now Sparkling Stars:) Pictures and comments are in Pieceing 2012 Set 1. I had planned to put on a border in the dark gray floral focus fabric, but I felt that really took away from the design. I'm even going to make the binding in black to retain the look of radiating out from the center. I see that I've cut off some of the star points in the picture - but, more importantly, not in the quilt top :)

actually, this is not a green poppy, but what was left after petals fell on the ground. it still looks interesting to my eyes.

Actually probably not the first as there were lots...we are posting a selection.

They are by Deodato Santos and the route goes by the name of “Passeio das Figuras”

If you want to find more shots on Flickr search for Deodato Santos.

...actually this is the old rock bridge over the moat

Actually this is the 475-111 from the Iron Monument Club from Pilsen. But during the last revision the smoke deflectores were removed and the locomotive became the new number 475-105. The 475-105 was the only locomotive without smoke deflectores, running like this a few month in the 50ties.Soon it will be renumbered back to 475-111 and get their old smoke deflectores back.

其實,我有觀注了亞成的健康。

I actually took some dog biscuits with me on the walk today (which I never normally do, he's not that interested in them anyway) but we had fun playing "catch the biscuit" after he'd caught most of the available sticks!

JerseyCityAsFromManhattan

*actually it's Hoboken... JerseyCity is off to the left.

Funny considering my hometown in Belgium (Wilrijk-Antwerp) is walking distance to the original town of Hoboken, Belgium.

My late grandmother used to tell me that it was named after a Flemish boy who was eating a sandwich (in oldschool Flemish called a 'boke' [boh ke]) on a tram... the train suddenly stopped and the sandwich went flying, in which he screamed "Ho boke!"

ie- "Stop sandwich!"

I know, I know... just one of those things you seem never to forget. Nevermind the fact that Hoboken has been around a little longer than trams have.

This was also my first shoot in months... my computer had melted itself, and took my urge to shoot along with it. Now I'm back.

Actually it is a cattle track, not a constructed trail. With some wild animal prints.

Actually, the Beach Club beach, with a view across Crescent Lake toward Disney's Boardwalk Resort area. Best viewed in Large or Original Size.

Actually this guy is begging for a scrap from a fish vendor at the Port San Luis Pier. He was standing on top of the refrigeration unit for this outdoor seafood vendor hoping someone would toss him a scrap. He didn't care about the people and just kept looking at us waiting to see if he could get lucky.

Actually, this is my first order for Lego (or Lego stuff) other than from Lego.com.

I ordered 4 M1 helmets, a G36 (cause i love it), an M4, a PSG1, 4 M67 grenades, a World War Weapons Pack (for my History class), and my free weapon was a silver AK. Brickarms rocks!

actually I'm not but I sure do love the look! :-)

Actually this might be the best photo I've ever produced. Ever.

Actually there was a cold rain and plenty of wind when this was captured.

We were actually heading back when Priscilla exclaimed excitedly that we should stop at the next available spot. This was our fifth night and we had agree upon that we wouldn't stop the car to shoot the aurora if it was weak, so I knew it must be something huge for her to ask me to pull over.

Thankfully, we managed to find an empty jetty to view the amazing show and it was the best display from our trip!

We probably would not have caught this had our car not crashed into the ditch, causing us to wait for an hour in a stranger's cabin for the tractor man to come and save us, and hence delaying our hunt for night. So I guess every cloud has a silver lining!

Actually took this shot using my Samsung Galaxy note 3 using its "Surround" setting pretty good result considering!
