'Fabulous, daaahling," said the flickr toys mosaic maker when I was done...
Sarcasm and irony are so easy to produce with fashion dolls- I never tire of seeing what my flickr friends come up with. Cade; quickbits33407; jaquaw; ultrasparky; and guy, the bearded phantom

with laughter the assembled did fold, the water so fuck me cold,
how they loved my soft sheen, but still my penis was nowhere to be seen.
Where there is trouble, the Man will deal with it!
Coming soon to a theater near you.
Experiment with fire was a disaster. I accidentally burned the Man's jacket and melted a rifle strap when the torch behind the guy wasn't far enough, a sudden gush of wind blew the fire to the wrong direction. Hence the title on the photograph. The Man is allright, though, except for the damaged gear and a tiny spot of burned hair in the back of his head.
I felt really bad about this and decided to stick with safer ways of documenting the kid's dear toys. I'll replace the damaged gear.
Inspired by Decepticreep's recent excellent photos, I released my Intruders, enemies of Action Man and GI Joe, from the vintage toy cabinet. Palitoy only released the gold-armoured beaded version here.
Vacation money came in last month, and I treated myself with this rad @ss Roman Centurion custom I bought on Evilbay. The guy had some more for sale like a Viking and Gaul, but this one was just too awesome to pass on :D
part of a new set of photos im working on for a gallery exhibition that opens in hastings on dec 1st, picking up on the theme of increasing isolation and fear in everyday life
The question hung in the air, a playful dare to the imagination. Do you ever catch a glimpse of the impossible, a flicker in the corner of your eye when the room is empty? Do you ever wonder what silent dramas unfold when the lights are off, the house hushed? I do. I imagine the stoic plastic heroes, lego folk and dolls, freed from the tyranny of play, descend into the hidden heart of the house. I picture them, bathed in the clandestine glow of a stolen flashlight, a poker den carved out of our own stuff, where the dust bunnies hoard the lost shrapnel of our lives. Miniature lego men, nervously stack piles of pennies, while a triad doll, her perfectly coiffed hair slightly askew, coolly raises the stakes with a glittering sequin torn from a discarded dress. The air is thick with the smell of static electricity and the quiet rustle of stolen real life loose money. Yes, I'm convinced. My action figures have a secret life, a clandestine world built on missing change and the hushed whispers of the night.
This is a Timeless Collection GI Joe set-up as a Green Beret figure. (Basically, dressed as the Green Beret figure from the SEARS Green Beret Machine Gun Outpost.) Parts are sourced from various Hasbro Timeless Collection sets.
Happy Families
// These five beings have been there with me since I was a child. I saw them on my shelf and thought it would make a great photo and it's very nostalgic. George is the newbie, top left. I want to have a big collection of porcelain dolls and old barbie dolls. I want to keep these buddies until I have my own children so they can have them because believe it or not - everything is sentimental to me, including these guys.
In other words, this incident did NOT happen. Is that crystal clear, Major? Yes sir! Good. Carry on with the operation..

... The Tree is a one year collaborative project, alternating weekly between Russell Higgs and cAt Monstersmith.
The Tree was initially believed to be a Tree Of Heaven, but is since identified as Robinia Pseudoacacia, commonly known as the Black Locust, and is situated @ Hackney City Farm.
The start day for the project was Tuesday 20 Nov 2012.
Joe kneels down and takes the creature's pulse to make sure he didn't accidentally kill it with an overdose of tranquilizers.
"Thank goodness - it's still alive!"
"But what is this thing? Could it be extraterrestrial? Looks like I'm going to have to scrap the original plan and call for an air lift to take this big boy in. Dr. Power and the other lab boys are gonna have to check this thing out. We can't take a chance that we're dealing with another alien incursion!"
THE END ???
Hi guys! Back from a long period of absence, sorry for that. I'm intending to better myself in 2020 by uploading more regularly this year. Been a lot going on in 2019 and it looks like I have a bit more time now to make some cool pics again :)
This is a He-man fig made out of modern action man and diy cardboard, toilet rolls and milliput.
Three 40th anniversary Soldier figures, outfitted to represent the Vietnam War era.
All parts are Hasbro 40th anniversary, except: Tan Web Belts & Marine helmets are Elitebrigade. The beret is from the Hasbro GI Joe Timeless collection. The M16's and Blooper are Action Man 40th anniversary parts.
My goal was to represent Vietnam War US Soldiers using only parts that would have been available in the GI Joe line of the 1960's.
