This is the timeless collection Spy Island GI Joe from the early 2000's. He's dressed up in the uniform from the Then & Now soldier collection...with a few mods. I've taken a spare arctic backpack, and soaked it in strong tea for a few days to turn it tan. (I added a little bit of green food coloring to it as well.) Also added some netting from the Timeless collection Green Beret figure.
Photographed with a Nikon D3100 and an 85mm f1.8 lens. It's taken me a while to get used to the narrow depth of field that this lens has at f1.8, but it fades out my backyard quite nicely once I get the focus right!

The AWESOME Sin Alley series on vinyl and vol. 1 of Jungle Exotica, sweet! :) Scored some nice figures too :)
A free wednesday project. Recently bought a book in a thrift about tartans and clans, and wanted to make a Scotsman from some leftover fodder. Allthought the uniform isn't a 100% accurate (beacause I didn't want to ruin the vintage Action Man jacket), it still turned out pretty neat :)
A 3 day battle we lost from the Nazi's at the beginning of the war. After Rotterdam was bombed the Netherlands capitulated and was occupied t'ill the 5th of May 1945.
Lord Conan, always eager to help, cannot help but overhear Lara and Logan's conversation.
"I can lead you to the top temple, but there are more than guards and natives that will try to stop us," Logan says,"Quite right," Interrupts Lord Conan, "Been there many times, my dear, I can show you a hidden route to the lost temple. However, I insist that Logan come with us! Lara, looking somewhat annoyed, replied, "And why do I need to bring Logan along?" "Well," started Lord Conan, "The last time I was there, I accidentally pee'd up their God statue during a feast they were holding in my honour. They may not have forgotten that, and Logan is bloody good in a fight!"

Your mission, should you choose to accept it: one of your guys (or girls) has been kidnapped by an opposing HQ. Your Commander must select three of the best soldiers or agents (any make of figure can be used) to mount a rescue! Each one must have some skill that will be essential to the team to aide in this mission. Your team must be kitted out and they must have a vehicle to make a fast getaway! Your team may use any mode of transport.
Now let's see those teams!
40th Anniversary Action Man, with short blonde flock courtesy of Flocktastic, in what's left of my old vintage Escape from Colditz Camp Kommandant uniform (with new belt).
I need to come up with a photo on the theme of 'Shadows'. The sun is missing in action so I had a play with an action man, a sindy doll, and a head torch with a purple sweet wrapper over it.

Kitted out Goldie and Bradshaw. These sets are from China, and considering the price, the equipment and uniforms are superb!
For some unknown reason I never had the Action Man commando set as a kid. Fixed that with ebay this year and this unshaven, greying (another great job from the good folk at Flocktastic) 40th anniversay Action Man gets to wear a vintage outfit (and extra bits) as he joins up with 1/6th Commando.
What could have left these strange prints? Could there be a Yeti loose in the snowy wastes of Toyville?
This is the Dragon In Dreams Ltd 1879 24th Regiment of Foot figure - or at least the uniform and equipment are. I swapped the figure (which bears a strong resemblance to Michael Caine) for a BBi figure. I did this mainly because Caine played an officer in the film Zulu, not a Private, which this uniform represents and that sort of inconsistency just annoys me! The BBi figure was originally German Afrika Korps and he has a very well painted headsculpt which looks convincingly like someone who's been out in the sun too long. He also has rather anachronistic (for a WW2 German soldier) long sideburns which better suit a 19th century character.
The uniform, while very nicely done is a little too 'parade ground' for a soldier on campaign. It is also, I'm led to believe, fairly inaccurate in some regards. However, it's still a nice representation, and it will suffice until I get round to making it more accurate, if I ever do!

When the Roman soldier returned to apologise for not respecting their pre-agreed limits, Saint Seb actually asked for more, making him the patron saint of gays who like rough trade and painful indulgences, particularly prayed to by those who are pushy bottoms.
I believe, however, that St Seb deserves to be reclaimed by all of us who have been imposed upon at some time and were far too polite to say no.

My wife rescued this made to move Barbie from a charity shop and asked me if I wanted her as a bar maid for the Ammo Arms. I picked her up a cheap knock off outfit from ebay which is actually amazing quality for it's cheap cost, and let her join her new work colleagues.
Mike Powers aka the Atomic Man is attacked by a Pygmy Gorilla and several Intruders during the Summer of 1976. Mike Powers was later found beaten and bruised from the attack. The ATV and other equipment remained missing. Atomic Mike was demoted to KP duty and had to pay back the GI Joe Adventure Team for his cowardice and loss of company property.
