Wasn't really satisfied with my first viking custom, so I took that one apart, and made a redo on a modern Action Man. Looks much better imo.
Yes of course I opened the package and took it out. How else can you display Joe at his best and of course you've got to take it out to play, and shoot some photos!
I've recently been upgrading older comics, and I came across this little gem from way back! Dave and I re-masterd it and I wanted to share it with you guys, Enjoy!
Custom figure.
AM Battle of Britain pilot jacket, belt & trousers, 1st issue Sailor shirt and repainted officer's cap with insignia courtesy of Tony Barton (antsheads.co.uk), tie & shoes from my spare parts drawers.
CC: Sssshould I get you a ssstraw for that lemonade dear doctor, while we sstand here throwing away preciousss time,or are you finally gonna tell usss why we're here in thisss nerdy mancave of yoursssss?....
Mb: This gentlemen....is our magic potion, the gateway to an army as strong as titanium and fearless in battle. And thanks to my secret ingredient; absolutely loyal to our cause!
D: Very intriguing Mindbender, if this works, the Joes will be nothing but flies on a windshield!
Max Steel was Mattel's answer to Action Man. Not very popular here, but the line had some cool villains and it's nice to have an 'Action Man' in the collection with another head sculpt.
Sally LaSalle, Girl Reporter of "Maid for Adventure" fame, and Charles "Chas" Anderson on assignment for Hearst Movietone Newsreels.

I wasn't real happy with my first session with my Vietnam styled GI Joe Soldiers. So, here is Take 2. I'm much happier with this group.
This is the same group photographed earlier, all 40th Hasbro parts except: Helmets and Tan belts are Elitebrigade, weapons are all 40th Action Man and beret is from the Timeless Collection Green Beret GI Joe.
Photographed with a Nikon D3100 and 35mm f1.8 lens

Made this Samurai during my vacation. We have a heatwave over here, so some days, indoors was better than outside, so I tried to make my time usefull by turning a Gi.joe Nisei soldier, into one of his forefathers :)
We don't often get snow in my part of Texas...and when we do I'm usually at work. Well, today was a SNOW DAY! So, I broke out the Joes and had a little fun.
These are my redo of the January 20th shoot. The January 20th shoot was made on a beautiful January day with styrofoam as the snow, twigs as the trees...and an old towel as the background. I like the REAL snow photos much better!
Figures were assembled from two Rescue of the lost squadron sets and 2 of the 40th anniversary mountain troops sets. Displayed on Timeless Joes...probably from the Then & Now sets.

For BlondeActionMan's Tag Game: Rescue Team photo challenge:
Your mission, should you choose to accept it: one of your guys (or girls) has been kidnapped by an opposing HQ. Your Commander must select three of the best soldiers or agents (any make of figure can be used) to mount a rescue! Each one must have some skill that will be essential to the team to aide in this mission. Your team must be kitted out and they must have a vehicle to make a fast getaway! Your team may use any mode of transport.
Now let's see those teams!
Sold some toys today and made a nice stack'o money. Also traded some stuff for these awesome guys. Welcome new soldiers! :)
Here is a squad of Hasbro 40th anniversary edition Marine GI Joes. I call this group my "Mint Marines" due to the odd base color of the marine uniform. There appears to be 2 general shades of the 40th anniversary marine uniforms, an Olive Green version and a Mint Green version. The Mint colored uniform has always looked a little bit odd to me...but I like it a lot better when there is a whole group of marines wearing the Mint uniform.
So, I assembled these guys and took them out to the Jungle in my back yard for a short patrol. All items are Hasbro 40th Anniversary GI Joe, except the following: M1, Carbines and Grenade Launcher are Action Man 40th anniversary items. The Marine helmets and tan web belts are all from Cotswold/Elitebrigade.
Unfortunately, there was a casualty when this group deployed...the blonde marine blew-out his knee! That's the first time I've had an issue with a 40th Anniversary figure.
An officer and a gentleman. 40th Anniversary figure & repro uniform, original cap. Reflocked by the good folk at Flocktastic.
Made a custom mix figure based on the Killzone and Wolfenstein videogames. So Wolfenghast seemed an appropriate name for him. Think he turned out pretty cool.
I had a fun Snow shoot...I just popped the screen off the kitchen window, and reached through the window to set-up the scenes. Inside was comfortably warm...even with the window open!
Actionman being drunk abusing kids, women, dressing up in a wedding dress etc. This is part of a photo exhibition I will have on the 20th of August. More info on website.
