Several of these indented welded areas featured every few feet on a metal boat sitting on a dock in Steveston Harbour. Each seemed to function as a work of art in their own rite.

‘Reimaginings’ are square-cropped images taken of marks, weathered paint, and rust seen by me in the urban environment which appeal to me as abstract shapes and forms. Some of these photographs are segments of faded and much repainted and over-painted graffiti surfaces, paint spills and general weathering.

I admit: I flipped this image on it's side to create some mystery as to the source. It was a calm day on the Fraser River, and this reflection was created by the pile driver and dredging barge in Steveston Harbour.
Towards the light. Stratosphere, a new East London residential development designed by Stockwool for Telford Homes,
a single figure ascends from the mirrored mouth of a machine, caught between reflections that ripple like memories. each line converges toward this lone walker, a punctuation mark in the language of steel and light. the city folds and unfolds around him in whispers of symmetry.

Because you know I had to have a blue possibility for the Macro Mondays theme of spooky/scary for 10/30! I figured it looked like some hungry ghostly creature……
Btb1…I had a *really* hard time with this theme - most of my possibilities are more cute than scary or spooky. Even looking at other people’s pictures for inspiration didn’t help - I’d say a good 70% were spiders, bugs, and slithery critters..
Btb2, this is actually a tattered tag on a small blanket/throw and the blue light is from my alarm clock clock.
