Taking a closer look at the beautiful light enhancing the the textures, colors and shapes of this cement wall inspired this abstract reality image.

A portion of the fabric from my small ironing board, which is very used and burned. So much so that I haven't changed it yet because I barely use it and because it has shark jaws left by my hot iron. Once you see them, you won't be able to unsee them.

A Toronto facade.

Centre Point, a landmark skyscraper seen on a bright December day in central London. Original architects: R. Seifert and Partners. Building completed in 1966. Recently refurbished.

ne man, one dog, one blade of light. the city disappears into rhythm and geometry, where motion cuts across stone and shadow with cinematic precision.

Was built in Holland in 1903. Her engine is a 65 H.P. Skandia, a one cylinder diesel.

She is moored in San Rafael, California, USA.

A deliberately blurred exposure of a tree and a bridge shot at sunset in Mission Bottom State Park, Keizer, OR. Some of my favorite images are those that are not exactly what they first appear, like this one:www.flickr.com/photos/163614313@N06/53117919500 also taken at Mission Bottom:-)

a table waits in silence, laid for those who may never return. through the window, light fractures the present into memory. a man drifts past, half-real, half-reflection, like time itself pausing to remember.

Detail shot of Whittle Arch, public art installation in Coventry, England. It is dedicated to Sir Frank Whittle, the inventor of the turbojet engine, who was born in Coventry.

The arches are one of two steel complex torsion structures built in 2003 designed by architects MacCormac Jamieson Pritchard.

I believe they were designed to resemble vapour trails.

The building through the arch is 'Millenium View', student accomodation in Coventry, England.

China Camp, looking down at sunny corner with shrimp roller-crusher and shipping crate. San Pablo Bay, San Rafael, Marin County, Northern California, USA.

‘Reimaginings’ are square-cropped images taken of marks, weathered paint, and rust seen by me in the urban environment which appeal to me as abstract shapes and forms. Some of these photographs are segments of faded and much repainted and over-painted graffiti surfaces, paint spills and general weathering.

This photograph is an in-camera double-exposure image. It shows some curious straw-like marks that I feel add positively to this composition.

This abstract reality image is a little complicated.

In order to catch reflected light, you are looking (at an angle)

at the softly rippled surface of a little, slow-flowing rural canal.

What you see are the reflections, on the water surface, of tree leaves. However,

strong, late afternoon light is shining THROUGH the leaves, NOT ON the leaves.

Location: A rural stretch of a little canal, near Village Neuf, Alsace, France.

This is just a few km from Basel, Switzerland.

The canal eventually runs through Alsace's Petite Camargue bird refuge

and eventually empties into the Rhine.
