My contribution to this month's ABS challenge is based on the lovely colors in the painting Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose by John Singer. I built the necklace around the pendant and toggle clasp that by chance were similar to the colors in the painting. I used lapis lazuli sticks and sterling silver wire for the chain. The sterling silver lantern beads fit in with the theme. I used a copper bee and a piece of copper chain which is attached to the toggle clasp to increase the warmth of the color scheme to be more in keeping with Sargant's painting. The pendant and toggle clasp are handmade by me from earthenware ceramic clay. They are hand painted and gloss glazed both sides.
