Art Beads - Blue Seraphim Artisan Glass by Jennifer Jennings (USA): Ruffled Slider Glass Discs
Vintage Olivine Drops and Bronze Faceted Beads
Swarovski Crystals - bicone and rounds
KCoop Enamel Clasp
Dark Rust Irish waxed linen
Copper headpins
Shimmery size 8 seed beads (pale slate blue and amethyst)
When I saw the colors used by Marianne North to create this art piece (thank you for the palette, Brandi!), I knew I had to participate in the June Challenge! The colors are so rich and vibrant. I've have these lovely ruffled sliders from Jennifer Jennings in several colors in my stash for a while... 3 of the colors were just absolutely perfect and reminded me of the flowers in the art work..especially that single dark lavender flower! A few vintage olivine drops from beadsellergirl to create a lush leaf-like appearance/background, and the piece almost created itself from there! I am so pleased how this all came together..hope you like it, too! :)
The bracelet is about 7 and 1/2 inches in length and oh-so simple to put on/take off with that fabulous CKoop magnetic clasp (another goodie from my stash, begging to be added to this piece!)
Bought the Copic ABS-3 airbrush system just a hour ago. Am very new to Copic markers. Ever since I bought "Lets Draw!" book two months back and saw the ABS-3 I've been intrigued. Very wonderful book by the way, loads of tips about ink and marker use. Not to mention it's great to have an entire color chart for the Copic marker line. So my air compressor is out and the Sanyo boom box is playing some tunes so I can wade out into the sea of creativity. :D
