An anti-lock braking system, is a safety system on motor vehicles which prevents the wheels from locking while braking.

A rotating road wheel allows the driver to maintain steering control under heavy braking, by preventing a locked wheel or skid, and allowing the wheel to continue to forward roll and create lateral control, as directed by driver steering inputs. Disadvantages of the system include increased braking distances under some limited circumstances (ice, snow, gravel, steel bridges, anything other than dry tarmac) and the creation of a "false sense of security" among drivers who do not understand the operation, and limitations of ABS.

My first entry to the ABS season 2 finale. The seed part is the silver goblet, which I used as keys on the typewriter, and in the candlesticks.

Gettin 6 pack abs requires more than just doing sit ups

Moderne Infrastruktur bedeutet breite ausgebaute Strecken, Lärmschutzwände, Leitplanken mit Blendschutz und Mastenwälder.

Auf der teilweise so ausgebauten Strecke Nürnberg-Bamberg, findet man kaum noch freie Streckenabschnitte für Eisenbahnfotos.

Die Strecke wurde ja für den Transport von Fahrgästen und Gütern ausgebaut und nicht für Fotografen. ;)

Man benötigt mittlerweile schon etwas Ehrgeiz, um an so einer Strecke fotografieren zu wollen.

In der Nähe des neuen S-Bahn Haltepunkts Forchheim-Nord, fand ich ein freies Stück ausgebaute Eisenbahnstrecke. Wo früher zwei Gleise lagen und DRG-Masten verbaut waren, liegen dort jetzt 4 Gleise und die Oberleitungsmasten bilden schon einen Mastenwald.

Ein ebenso recht neues Fahrzeug der modernen Epoche, fährt hier im Doppel als RE14 dem nächsten Halt Forchheim entgegen.

Natürlich gibt es noch viele "alte" Eisenbahnstrecken, wo man praktische Fotostellen für schöne Eisenbahnfotos findet.

Dennoch sollten wir uns schon mal auf die neue Epoche einstellen und ruhig auch mal an einer ABS/NBS fotografieren!

As a side note, I slightly based the chicken off Heihei from Moana.

Down to the sea early one morning on holiday near the border of Scotland and England. A great place for walks, boating and diving with heaps of history thrown in for good measure. Thanks very much for your kind comments
