ANALOG Photo.
A trip to remember.
Old analog photo taken at the Catholic section of the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, Palestine, with camera Minolta SRT 100, during a visit to Palestine, November 1988.
The church was built sometime in the 3rd century by Emperor Constantine the Great, over the cave traditionally designated as Jesus' birthplace.
She gazes off into the distance, her expression a mix of curiosity and longing. The fog wraps around her like a shroud, blurring the boundaries between the seen and unseen, creating an almost ethereal atmosphere.
This is from an evening walk around the back streets of Kathmandu. The focus is way off, depth of field, etc. However, this is the only photo I have of this scene. There was so much atmosphere on the street that evening with the sunset, the mistiness, the people going about their evening socialization, it literally felt tangible. This is certainly not a perfect photo technically but I think this B&W conversion conveys the mood as I remember it. Even with the photo’s imperfections, it remains one of my favourite captures of life from Kathmandu.
Still going through the photos that I managed to take in Friston forest with the small amount of snow that we had here in the South East.

What does not matter ?
1.What to photograph - Camera.
2.Where to photograph - Place.
3.When to photograph -Time.
.
What is important ?
1.Study and tune the camera.
2.Learn where you are going.
3.Study the lighting at different times.
.
What's the secret?♀️
1.Feel the instrument, hear what it says.
2.Feel the atmosphere of the place, catch the wave.
3.Switch on .Catch the moment!⚡️
.
Make a choice!
✨Finding the observer, comes awareness!✨

I was out snowshoeing last week and found some different impressions of my experience in this environment
The past few months I've been stuck between two worlds, neither seem to appeal to me - a world of dreams, and one filled to the brim with reality.
This nice sunrise over Dungarvan in County Waterford Ireland was one straight out of the camera.
Shot from my garden using a Canon 5D MK3 1/100sec f/5.4 ISO 2500 and Canon 70-200 f4L IS USM
I often find that the story to a photo is just as good or interesting as the photo it self.
We stumbled across this run down cottage while walking down an empty lane. The condition wasn't right at the time and only fog would do, so the wait was on. On our last full day of the holiday, we got a small chance of fog. A quick visit to Wistmans resulted in a clear sky, so we headed to this little cottage and I got what I wanted. Sometimes you wait days, weeks or months, even years for the right conditions. On this holiday we got everything but snow.

2016 - Landes / Aquitaine / France.
Almost winter, and I still have a number of fall pictures to work through.
Thanks for looking!
