On ne le dirait pas, mais cette photo a été prise à la toute fin du printemps. L'hiver 2017/2018 avait durement frappé les Pyrénées et il y avait encore beaucoup de neige à la fin du printemps. Le froid n'avait pas encore disparu non plus et le col du Lautaret avait donc l'air froid et désolé.

Southern Indiana Railway switches cars at the Essroc cement mill in Speed, IN, on one of those foggy mornings that didn't burn off until 11am. SIND no longer operates their 5 miles between Speed and Watson. The Alco rebuilds are no longer used and LIRC switches the mill.

Taken in middle of a rain storm, yesterday.
My dear friends, forgive me if the public many photos of this place, but I was charmed the heart. The colors and the atmosphere that I breathed impressed me a lot.
Clouds hover and catch late-day light in front of the Flatirons and above the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado.
The building was designed by I.M. Pei in 1961 and construction was completed in 1967. It was the first building that Pei designed that was not situated within a city, and he based the design on the ancient Pueblo dwellings at Mesa Verde, Colorado.
Not exactly a testament to my adventurous spirit, this photo was taken standing on the balcony outside our bedroom window. I can't recall, but I was probably wearing slippers...
