Finally! A new submission! Haven't been up to much of late. And I've just started on a new job. Yey, me.
Oh, yes, light painted, and, as usual, no photoshop.
Camera: Sony A350
Lens: 18 - 70 (Kit lens)
Focal length: 18
Aperture: 7.1
Exposure time: 241 secs
Had this in the barrel for a while, now it's here. The thing was mostly inspired by The Pontiac GTO Judge and most MOPAR cars from the 70s.
This one is heavily based from Pecovam’s insurrectionist ODST’s. I figured with all the building on Project: Requiem, it was time for another custom. A few people on flickr FM’ed me regarding customized ODSTs. This is the first one. Huge thanks to Will for the BrickArms prototypes (your too generous man). When I was working on it, the thought of a Thor/Halo figure struck me with interest. Hope you guys enjoy this one..

Ultimates#2 :Asgard:
Fury:"So mr. stark, we don't really have a team yet, so for your first mission, you will be paired with an agent named Clint Barton, code name hawkeye."
Ironman: " Alright, so... what are we going after?
Barton: "Sorry to interrupt you ladies, but shouldn't we be going??"
Fury: * angerly * "Yes, Hawkeye , but first I need to tell stark what the mission is. "You are heading to new Mexico city, where a man with a hammer has been mumbling about the norse myth Asgard.
Ironman:"great, so we've got another loony to deal with."
The duo then gets on to a sheild jet, and sit down on the benches. Stark gets up, and brings his suit case to the ground. He opens it, steps his feet inside, and the yellow and red metal case starts to incase stark, until he is in a full suit of armor, and the case is gone.
Barton: " Holy crap!!" "Did that just happen?"
Ironman: *Sarcastic* Ha!" "never heard anyone else say that."
The gigantic door opens, and Barton does a flip on to the ground. Stark then peacefully hovers to the point where he can see the hooded man.
Ironman: " off your pills a little, aren't you now?"
The man throws his hammer at Ironman, stating "Fight me, tin man."

Erm, so the interior in the St Abbs Visitor Centre. Everything is a Seagull’s cry into the abyss. I am loading this for the photographer that took these pictures and put up with my many mumbles and un-appt abbservations.
This visitor centre is on the road to Coldingham from St Abbs.
The Priory is just out of the picture, it is linked below. It is just inland from Coldingham Sands and St Abbs.
This as close as can be to New Asgard from Marvel films including Thor enjoying a new place by the sea.

A few more shots of Loki. The sculpt is definitely Hiddleston, but without the helmet, he tends to look older. More reason to keep that beautiful half-helm on him.

...but Thor loves them.
I know, this is reductio ad absurdum for the Bifrost idea, but what the heck, you only go around once.
Newest Loki has arrived!
I'm pleased, for the most part, with the updated head sculpt. He doesn't look great without the helmet as it is really designed to have it on, but the same can be said about the Ragnarok version as well. The face itself looks so much better than the prototype.
Now, bring on the TV show versions! 💚

From about 5 - 7 PM PDT/SLT, was at BeBoppin Around, which is kind of a 1950's nostalgia set that they have at the parkway in Asgard in Virtual Highway.
How do you get there?
First, get a viewer that has a grid selector, such as Singularity.
Next, you need the login uri for Virtual Highway. In Singularity, you open the viewer, go to preferences, then Grids tab. Click on the Create button, then put in the uri link in the Login URI text box. Click the Advanced button, then the Apply button, and you are ready to login to Virtual Highway. The login uri you enter is this one:
Then you use this url:
“This illustration compares many of the larger geographical features in the solar system at the same scale. Shown are features on Mercury, the moon, Mars, Io and Callisto (moons of Jupiter), and Iapetus (a moon of Saturn). Caloris, Imbrium, Orientale, Argyre, Hellas, Asgard, and Valhalla are impact basins. Olympus Mons and Pele are volcanoes. Valles Marineris is a canyon system. Cassini Regio is a dark-toned feature of unknown origin.”
Almost three years ago, this little guy came into my life. While he wasn't the first 1:6 scaled figure I received (Spike managed a quick trip here from eBay in the 8 months I waited for this guy), he was the first one I ordered, the one that started me on this spiraling descent into 1:6 madness. Some 30 figures (and more to come) later, he's still my Number One.
And today, he demanded attention.
The Mighty Thor (1966 cartoon) - lyrics
Cross the rainbow bridge of Asgard,
Where the mighty Heavens roar,
You'll behold the god of Thunder,
The God of Thunder; Mighty Thor!
HAPPY MJOLNIR !!
THOR'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY : "IF THOU SPENDS THY HOLIDAYS ON MIDGARD, I SAY THEE REMEMBER THY LOVED ONES AND FOR ODIN'S SAKE, PHONE HOME!"

Back when I did this one in 2009 it had been a tempestuous year for my partner and I and both friends and family. Ditto in 2014.
While we rise to the challenge it's a wee bit of a drain and after the complex Nativitony scene I created in 2009 as my Christmas shot I was really looking for something simple for New Years.
(Well, at least for the Western N.Y. My Chinese one is usually a whole different matter!)
And, lo! Near sundown New Year's Day we copped a sweet rainbow which I was able to dash out and capture along with the Thunder God himself, Mighty Thor!
Or a least the Marvel Super Hero Squad caricature version....which I keep handy when I'm keeping a weather eye out for storms.
I'm rather glad the light was failing, as the silhouette turned out to be just what I was looking for...
Oh, Mjolnir... is of course the Scion of Asgard's enchanted Uru hammer.
"Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor."
I reckon the Thunderer would be Mighty Thor if he lost the magnificent mallet! And who could blame him.
Naturally my favourite cartoon in the old 1960s Marvel Superheroes show was The Invincible Iron Man....but Thor was in there swinging too!

Thunderhead Motors Corp. has been a central part of North America's automotive industry since the dawn of the 20th century. Arguably, they truly cemented themselves in American culture during the musclecar craze of the 60s/70s. Thunderhead models like the Roadbeast, Bolt, and Stallion dominated the scene. Standing above all in this stable of American steel was the Asgard. A long, burly 2-seater sports coupe with a massive 7 L V8 producing well over 400 horses made it the top of Thunderhead's performance lineup and the king of America's streets. The oil crisis of the 70s would lead to the infamous "Malaise Era" that would go on to severely kneecap the high power, high consuming musclecars from earlier, and the Asgard would be hit the hardest. What was once a fire-spitting, tire destroying beast was turned into a big, numb cruiser barely resembling what it once was. The godlike 6.3 L V8 would get bigger at a ridiculous 8 liters, but emissions regulations choked the power to a limp sub-200 horsepower. The Asgard nameplate would stick around for a few more models into the 90s, gradually reaching closer to the glory it once had as technology would improve, but in never truly reached the heights it once had again before Thunderhead killed the name off at the very beginning of the 21st century. Decades would pass. Technology would improve even further. Carbon-neutral fuels would hit the mainstream, ensuring internal combustion engine's future and allowing them to be more fantastical without violating now-outdated emissions regulations. In the late 2030s, Thunderhead had a notable blank spot in their lineup: no sports car. That changed in 2041 with the triumphant return of an old nameplate. The Thunderhead Asgard returned, in a form inspired by its all-powerful first iteration from nearly a century prior. The base Asgard, the GTS, was stated by Thunderhead themselves to exist in a place between old-school musclecars and full-on supercars. With it's low, sleek design with some retro touches, it certainly has the looks of a supercar. The powertrain under the design certainly helps, too. Gone is the large 6 L, 400 HP V8 from the 1960s. Instead there is now an ever bigger 7 L V12 developed in-house by Thunderhead's motorsport division making a terrifying 807 BHP. Thunderhead states that the GTS was clocked in reaching a 0-60 of under 3 seconds, and a top speed of under 220 MPH. One thing to keep in mind is that Thunderhead is known for underrating their performance numbers. While the Asgard GTS has supercar stats, it certainly hasn't forgotten its musclecar roots and retains some of that simplicity. Inside the well-upholstered interior you'll find a very old-school six speed manual transmission. Every digital driver aid to help reign in the Asgard can be turned off with the flip of a switch for a classic, driver-focused feel, though this is only recommended for very seasoned drivers. Even the impressive V12 has some simple, down-to-earth origins. It's actually based on a 3L I6 series of engines Thunderhead has been using on more widespread models for over a decade before the Asgard's return. The Asgard's V12 is essentially 2 of the I6s conjoined together on a single engine block, though so many components are modified or outright changed completely that describing it as such is a gross simplification. This new Asgard was a huge success for Thunderhead, being a great return to form for the classic nameplate and being infamous for its simple brutality and unforgiving driving experience. The new Asgard would garner a huge fanbase that would assure it's production and place in car culture well into the 2050s, being prominently featured in media and the public eye thanks to a long list of celebrity owners.
