The sun comes up later in the morning now, which means it's dark when I get to work and I get a chance to watch the sunrise as I walk between buildings; today I decided to stop and take a moment to try and get an interesting shot.
I was hoping someone would walk the stairs while I stood watching, but I didn't luck out there.
Still, I think this is an interesting sight; a stair case going up into the sky.
Anyway, quick upload and run for me today. Hope you all had a great day!

Ascending the Eiffel Tower (Tour Eiffel). We used the lift (elevator). Otherwise if we'd had to walk it to the top I think the local A&E would have had 2 more patients...!
As the mind tends to go out turn it inwards then and there. It goes out owing to the habit of looking for happiness outside oneself; but the knowledge that the external objects are not the cause of happiness will keep it in check. This is vairagya or dispassion. Only after perfect vairagya the mind becomes steady.

Happy new year!
Are you waiting for it as well? I admit it’s a ton of fun chasing all the fog and storms. Mood in the city is at 100%. But having a morning like this one in between all of that is a huge bonus. What do you think?

Death Valley, California
Standing on a hill above the Artist’s Drive road, we have a clear view across Death Valley of a bajada (compound alluvial fans) at the foot of the Panamint Mountains. Much less visibly, we are standing on another bajada at the base of the Black Mountains behind us.
