As it is on every mountain hike: We thought we had reached the top only to realise it was the wrong one. Here are some of us after descendig a steep cliff, on the way up Ordalsåta in Morgedal, Norway.
Taken with my Nikon F4 analogue camera with a Nikkor 135mm f/2.8 lens.
"I shall die, and what I now feel be no longer felt. Soon these burning miseries will be extinct. I shall ascend my funeral pile triumphantly and exult in the agony of the torturing flames. The light of that conflagration will fade away; my ashes will be swept into the sea by the winds. My spirit will sleep in peace, or if it thinks, it will not surely think thus. Farewell." — Mary Shelley, Frankenstein. On 19 July 2018 the Sacré-Coeur church in Geneva burned, I went there trying to get a few shots until I saw this priest. I ran knowing what I wanted to do, I wanted to frame him with the Frankenstein monster sculpture. A split second later this image was born.

Chicago's Garfield Park Conservatory is huge and has some pretty bizarre foliage about everywhere. This beauty had just opened up. The girth of this flower is about the size of my hand - much larger than than the delicate roses and orchids. Shot with a 35 year-old lens - which continues to surprise.

The sun finally broke through and gave us more than a glimpse of that divine and glorious presence.
On board Majesty of the Seas south of the Florida Keys.
EL55 and EL53 ascend the last obstacle between them and the Austar Mine at Bellbird, south of Cessnock. Despite the operational section of the South Maitland Railway being rather short compared to some of the long-haul Hunter Valley Coal runs, it's still taken AS239 almost two hours to transit the section from the junction at Maitland. This is largely due to the poor quality of the line requiring trains to operate a very slow speeds.
The Pacific National SMR coal trains is currently the last regular operation for the EL Class, sadly once again displaced from service with other operators by more modern horsepower.

Ascended masters are enlightened spiritual beings who once lived on earth just like we do. Over the course of many lifetimes of devotion and striving, they fulfilled their mission and reason for being-their divine plan-and ascended back to their divine source, reuniting with Spirit. Though they once had physical bodies like we wear, they now dwell in the heaven world, or etheric octave, and have bodies of light.
Some of my pupils are confused with these two words, so I made a poster to show the difference between them and they've been helpful. Get a whole set copy for FREE at:

Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in the British Isles. It is located at the western end of the Grampian Mountains in the Lochaber area of Scotland, close to the town of Fort William.
As is common for many Scottish mountains, it is known both to locals and visitors as, simply, The Ben. It attracts an estimated 100,000 ascents a year, around three-quarters of which are made using the well-constructed Pony Track from Glen Nevis on the south side of the mountain.
The summit, at 1,344 metres (4,409 ft) above sea level, features the ruins of an observatory, which was permanently staffed between 1883 and 1904. The meteorological data collected during this period are still important for understanding Scottish mountain weather. C. T. R. Wilson was inspired to invent the cloud chamber after a period spent working at the observatory.

We were close to Ben Nevis twice during our Scotland adventure; during the second time, the lovely weather made the ascent of Ben Nevis an unavoidable necessity. Lovely trek!
Loch Linnhe and Loch Eil are the lakes that can be seen in the back.

Also want to mention the amazing Ronny Fisher PFD by Astral Designs. I am so happy they came out with a very high quality PFD aimed at fisherman and hunters. If you are in the market for a quality camo PFD, this is the one to get.
