Mirit Ben-Nun dizzyingly integrates all of this into her private career, a colorful and spectacular painting, which ranges from Aboriginal diligence to feminist consciousness. Ben-Nun adorns the successful women with a tremendous abundance of colors and patterns, generously and with joy of life she wraps them with ‘mandorlas’ (almond-like shape), which surround each other and create “Babushkas”.

‘Your Own Dream’ is a modern Pop art style exhibit of paintings of women, by the feminine spirit of the artist, Mirit Ben-Nun. The painting series of the women was created and inspired by the book “Presence. Impact. Leadership”, and the majority of the women painted in the exhibit participate in this book by Dr. Efrat Liani, published by Kineret Zemorah Dvir.

Artists Statement:

This painting captures a fleeting moment in early winter, where the landscape is transformed by the low, golden light that bathes the scene. The curving river bank, gently blanketed in snow, is outlined on the one side by trees whose tops glow with the warm hues of the rising sun. Painted in a high-key fashion, the work employs soft, coarse horizontal strokes for the water and a smoothness to evoke the feel of the flat white snowy fields, while the water—rich in greys, reds, and pale purples—reflects the cold light and the dark reflections of the trees, creating an interplay of warmth and chill.

The overall composition is designed to feel ephemeral, as the edges of the scene gradually fade into the surrounding whiteness of the snow, giving the viewer a sense of both the vastness and quiet intimacy of winter. The trees, though delicate in their soft brushwork, stand resilient against the cold, their glowing tops providing a gentle contrast to the more muted colours of the water and the snow.

In this piece, I sought to explore the subtle beauty of winter’s transitional moments, where the harshness of the season meets the fragile warmth of light. The interplay of colour and light, combined with the fading edges, speaks to the transient nature of time—how moments of clarity are often fleeting, but nonetheless beautiful in their impermanence.

Graffity in France in Longwy / Rèhon

Artist: Grafodeco = Scaf Oner

Artist is Alexander Calder (1898-1976), who made this mobile in 1964. Lots of charming details (like the colour red) are invisible in this monochrome, but that absence (I hope) is taken over by the clouded sky, that sort of ‘conceives’ the determined forward strive of this (what I see) humanoid figure towards a future location (out of our sight). It was midday, heavy rain announced for our region, but just for that one blessed moment, the clouds broke open and the light miraculously came from right above to trigger my ‘moment-décisive’. I always say: you are never ‘creative’ just in one area, often in many, and us artists often feel we have to ‘express’ ourselves in other ways! LOL

Here, a Belgian musician, singer, song-writer, Willemsson and artist Jook in Oostende.

Both are on Facebook!

A portrait of a couple, united in many ways, divided in their creativity, he is all about music, she is a Neo-expressionism surrealism doodle-artist.

This was a fun shoot, creatives together…

With love to you and thank you for ALL your faves and comments, M, (* _ *)

The artist sees the profound beauty in every day. She takes note of the small blessings and of the grand divine. Her visions and imagination transform and evolve until they pour out in the work she shares. Through her artistry she gives meaning to our lives and inspires in us all, an appreciation of the enchanting nature of our world.

This is what she was painting. Wasn't too challenging for me to capture this grandeur, but does look like it would be a real challenge to paint.

A day trip floating downstream on bamboo, banana rafts in the Rio Grande River, Jamaica. Half way through the trip we pulled up onto a gravel bar & were treated to this fine Lady cooking a traditional Jamaican lunch over heated rocks and an open fire.

After a few years where I hadn't been able to attend the annual Viking Festival at Lindholm Høje in Denmark, I went back. it was just as I remembered, with lots of interesting shows, stands with products made like in the old times and really good food.

In a tent I found this tattoo artist tattooing a fellow viking.
