On this day, 36 years ago, Ted DeGrazia passed away at the age of 73. All of us thank you for creating the DeGrazia Foundation, this endowment allows us to continue operation of DeGrazia’s beloved gallery and provide a museum setting for the permanent exhibition of his artwork and collections for generations to come!

Mais.. rien dans le ciel, à part les lampadaires éteints dans la nuit.

Artist's Pallete is an amazing, multi-hued cluster of hills at the base of the Black Mountain range in Death Valley National Park. The 9-mile Artist's Drive that courses through this scenic area was closed when I visited due to the government shutdown, but it was still incredibly striking even from the main highway.

Hertford Cakes in Fore Street has both friendly customers and staff. I enjoyed my two cups of coffee and especially the artist painting advertising on the window. Art to me is not how much it costs but to witness the clever way the artist did her work gave me pleasure.

Or a Southern Bracket. Almost indistinguishable from each other. Apparently both can be drawn on when very fresh. As it dries the drawing is preserved. Staithes is a seaside village in North Yorkshire, England. Roxby Beck (a small river) runs through it. Formerly a productive fishing centre, Staithes is now largely a tourist destination and is frequented by many artists. In 1745-1746, the young Captain James Cook worked in Staithes as a grocer's apprentice where he first gained his passion for the sea.

This little green house at Crystal Cove is actually a small gallery for local artists. The day we stopped by, there was an exhibit of artwork from a local photographer. It 's such a cool place to relax and enjoy the ocean view.
