My niece Morgan loves to draw and paint and this was taken at the annual trip to the pumpkin patch when she was painting pumpkins. My artist entry for Feb. MSH

The background was a landscape and the painting that I took in Scoharie New York. The artist was provided by Tetiana SHYSHKINA a donor photographer on Unsplash .com. I thank her for her generosity. :-)

Without exposing all the masterworks she creates, I made a small series of this multi-gifted artist. She paints and sculpts in a beautiful way, she sings lovely and for all Dutch Flickr members, she imitated Hetty Blok perfectly well in an entertaining variation on "Ja zuster, nee zuster". Judith always dreamed of seeing cows walking in the mist after opening her curtains early morning. Recently she moved from an urban area to the countryside, the Betuwe, where she's put a sculpted cow in her yard, just in case the farmers next to her keep their cattle inside, haha.

Part of my new album "gifted people".

This will be an ongoing series about people who distinguish themselves particularly without showing off, let alone being a celebrity:

My new levitation photo, I love these concept shoots and hope to do a lot more of them this year.

This ones slightly cluttered but it does resemble an actual artis studio.

With Charlotte Moore, what a good sport, hope your backs recovered.

Thanks to Martin Clarkson for letting us collaborate with your studio space!

I need to come back here for an ultra wide close up next time I am in Death Valley. Right around sunset and sunrise, the colors of these rocks should become quite dazzling just like Golden Canyon. One negative thing about Death Valley is that it normally takes an hour or more to go from one place to another within the park. But the magic moments usually only happen within a three-hour window at dusk and at dawn. So you have to figure out what to do for the rest of the day. And there is a LOT of driving.

Thanks for all your comments and faves, much appreciated.

If I could draw I would choose the medium of pastels or watercolour; maybe one day I will take lessons. Until then I play about in PS with filters and textures on my photos. The wannabe artist in me likes this but the photographer in me isn't so sure...

Harsh light and cloud shadows seem to work well with this Death Valley landscape.

This popular roadside attraction in Death Valley National Park shows a colorful hillside that gets its colors from different iron oxides in the mineral outcrops.

I still feel funny calling myself that. I am not very good at painting or drawing. At all. But I am going to keep trying and the Four Corners Project is helping me to do that. And I love it. It's all about expression. And if someone doesn't like your work? That's ok. As long as you do. As long as it has meaning for you or makes you feel something. And if people love it? That's fun too.

Atelier Normand Création. Une rencontre avec Rémi Planche,

www.remiplanche.com/

Meeting up with Rémi Planche

www.remiplanche.com/

A very young and gifted artist who he is also studying History at a very high level. He is painting with his hands and finishing his work with his nails... (in fact steel needles).

So here is a serie dedicated to Rouen and some of Rémi's work I took the liberty to "retouch" a little bit...

Otherwise, where the fun will be?

Hertford Cakes in Fore Street has both friendly customers and staff. I enjoyed my two cups of coffee and especially the artist painting advertising on the window. Art to me is not how much it costs but to witness the clever way the artist did her work gave me pleasure.
