Explore #87 for 8th October 2011 - my first one!!!
This is Francesca Woodman and Brooke Shaden inspired all the way :)
Ever notice how a lot of people care more about the work than the artist behind it? I mean of course, the piece of work, whether it be a photo, poem, painting, book etc, is the thing you're being impressed by, but what about the person who sat for hours imagining and creating that piece simply for the voyeuristic enjoyment of others? I'd hate it if a piece of my work got very well known and posted all over the internet but no one knew who it was by - it'd be like taking a part of me away, and even if I said I'd created it I'd probably be considered a liar.
I think this must be the best quality photo on my stream of the beautiful Underwood typewriter which John bought my last Christmas - it's beyond amazing, annoying to lug about though, it's so heavy!
I'm glad that despite this being an assignment for Uni about movement within images, I was able to make it personal to myself as well.
The background was a landscape and the painting that I took in Scoharie New York. The artist was provided by Tetiana SHYSHKINA a donor photographer on Unsplash .com. I thank her for her generosity. :-)
This image was taken during a workshop I participated few weeks back via Digital Photo Academy (digitalphotoacademy.com/).
They have great classes for newbies in photography.
Took me several hours to set up, and I love the way it turned out!

Taken in Delacroix's studio in Paris.....self portrait ....I loved the texture of the paint and added the color of course!
My new levitation photo, I love these concept shoots and hope to do a lot more of them this year.
This ones slightly cluttered but it does resemble an actual artis studio.
With Charlotte Moore, what a good sport, hope your backs recovered.
Thanks to Martin Clarkson for letting us collaborate with your studio space!
Clare Gregory did Costume, Hair & Makeup. I'm so lucky xx
This is the Lower Falls in the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, on a rainy day. The area is referred to as "Artist Point", but apparently there were some mistakes made in the naming of it, according to this link: www.yellowstonepark.com/artist-point/ . A beautiful location, regardless of the name :)

View from Artist Point, Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, Wyoming, USA
The river plunges over Lower Falls and it enters into the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, Wyoming.
Unfortunately it was starting to snow (again..), so visibility wasn't so good... but you can, however, see how powerful and amazing nature can be.

Meeting up with Rémi Planche
A very young and gifted artist who he is also studying History at a very high level. He is painting with his hands and finishing his work with his nails... (in fact steel needles).
So here is a serie dedicated to Rouen and some of Rémi's work I took the liberty to "retouch" a little bit...
Otherwise, where the fun will be?
Every information about this artist:
I still feel funny calling myself that. I am not very good at painting or drawing. At all. But I am going to keep trying and the Four Corners Project is helping me to do that. And I love it. It's all about expression. And if someone doesn't like your work? That's ok. As long as you do. As long as it has meaning for you or makes you feel something. And if people love it? That's fun too.
Hertford Cakes in Fore Street has both friendly customers and staff. I enjoyed my two cups of coffee and especially the artist painting advertising on the window. Art to me is not how much it costs but to witness the clever way the artist did her work gave me pleasure.
Staithes is a seaside village in North Yorkshire, England. Roxby Beck (a small river) runs through it. Formerly a productive fishing centre, Staithes is now largely a tourist destination and is frequented by many artists. In 1745-1746, the young Captain James Cook worked in Staithes as a grocer's apprentice where he first gained his passion for the sea.
