An artist at the weekly market in downtown Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico, making his colourful painting, is clearly happy in his chosen profession.

Following on from my last photograph in Shoreditch...I thought it would be good to show the art being created standing in the shade as I saw it last Saturday. I must of stood there for a good ten minutes watching him at work. I found it fascinating and awe inspiring which made me want to find out more. His name is Wasp Elder and had been working in Berlin before this creation in Shoreditch.
From his website:
A world of historical fog, political haze and societal mist. Where does control lie in this world of contemporary ritual and repression?
Wasp Elder paints canvases populated by enigmatic souls and unstressed backgrounds, enticing a sentiment of an obscure journey.
His drawings, paintings and films present an evocative combination of solitary figures, collaged scenes, close-ups, obscured features, and potential catastrophe.
His website :
Germany, Hamburg, Harbour, photographer’s favoured hot spot facing the Water Castle, the bridge on the Poggenmühle in the warehouse district at the harbour.
The “Blue Port 2015” event, a light happening at the harbour since 2008 by “Light Artist Michael Batz”. The whole harbour area dipped every night in blue light for ten days, a worldwide unique light art production. The event will end with the “Hamburg Cruise Days”, seven cruise liner, including the Queen Mary II, are expected on the weekend from the 11.-13. September, which will end with a giant firework during a pared of all cruise liners on Saturday night & a departure parade on Sunday afternoon.

The Artist's Drive in Death Valley National Park takes you out of the valley and up into the (not so accurately named) Black Mountains.
The main attraction is the Artist's Palette area, seen in the centre of the image.
The colours are a result of oxidation of various different types of metals, producing an amazing mix of colours and beauty to what is a relatively lifeless area.
This is just a picture of an art print that was hanging on the wall. The talent from this artist is amazing, I’m sorry I don’t have his info to pass on.
Stormy weather provided the perfect backdrop for the always stunning view from Artist's Bluff in Franconia Notch.
Willem Vermandere, sculptor, musician, painter, poet, friend and Flemish cultural icon.
He'd groan at being called an icon. This humble, wise man touches the lives of everyone who comes into contact with his work. At the moment he is performing in South Africa.
I took this in France after a wonderful lunch together with Magda and his wife.

This is Tenzile Özgün, a tile artist in Sultanahmed. I spotted her through the window of her atelier/shop during my first evening in Istanbul, when she invited me to come in and see her work and her 9 cats running around (5 kittens). It was the nicest entree to this city I could imagine! The light was not good for photos, but my little camera made it!
I really like minimalist and abstract landscapes, and so we decided to spend the day hiking up a massive cinder cone volcano to get a viewpoint of these amazing hills with trees dotted throughout the landscape. It was quite elevated here and i think given that we had lived around sea level our entire lives we were suffering a bit from altitude sickness, feeling headache and so out of breath.
Now that i sit comfortably in my office i say it was worth it :p
i wonder if i should have made this a bit more of a square format rather than the rectangle here - it feels like the left of the frame has nothing particularly interesting to look at
