...not my speciality, but on my trip to Montana the landscape was crying out for photos. Given that I know nothing about landscapes I'd appreciate critiques!
Japanese artist Ryoji Ikeda’s film test pattern is reimagined for the Times Square billboards, Oct. 1-31. From 11:57pm to midnight each night, digital screens will be taken over by tightly synchronized, flickering black-and-white imagery mining data for mathematical beauty as part of Midnight Moment.
At a special event on October 16, sound was incorporated into the Midnight Moment for the first time. Headphones were made available to the public on a first-come/first-served basis to view the work as a fully immersive experience.
Midnight Moment is a presentation of the Times Square Advertising Coalition (TSAC) and Times Square Arts. Midnight Moment: A Digital Gallery is the largest coordinated effort in history by the sign operators in Times Square to display synchronized, cutting-edge creative content at the same time every day. October's presentation is in partnership with the French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF)’s Crossing the Line festival and The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Artist books can be especially challenging because of their use of unconventional materials and construction. Here an inflatable latex glove, which was part of the book, has deteriorated and left behind a large stain. The residue will remain but a facsimile of the missing glove can be attached with paste (along with the replacement straw seen here).

Sometimes, I think children are our greatest teachers. This is my nephew. He just turned 2 years old. In fact, this was taken during his birthday party. He had a giant pile of gifts to open, a big cake just for him and all he wanted to do was play with his crayons. I am just so grateful for all the simple, yet powerful lessons children teach us.
