Artist Tony Carosella talks to the audience about his experiences photographing using a drone during his visit and presentation on February 16, 2016 in the Hatheway Gallery. Carosella is one of several regional artists participating the free Visiting Artists Lecture Series sponsored and presented by 1st MidAmerica Credit Union on L&C's Godfrey campus. Carosella started pursuing his passion for aerial photography while working at an architecture firm taking photos from airplanes and helicopters. Now, he uses drones to capture his imagery. His art is being featured in the Webster University Faculty Art Exhibit and in a continuing exhibit at the Astral Glass Studio and Gallery in New Haven, Missouri. Carosella has been involved with a number of different projects, including the Channel 9 documentary “Where the Rivers Run,” which premiered on Nov. 15, 2015, and the book “Hermann, Missouri One of the Prettiest Towns in America.”
June 2008 the street chalk artists come to Old Town Temecula to compete for prizes. The artist above thought it was a good subject for her painting. I thought her effort was a good subject for a photo!
To the left of my desk is my supply corner. Any art supply you can think of is on that black shelf. My favorite thing is the old typesetting drawer where I keep my pastels.

Luna Luna was an open-air museum and amusement park in Hamburg, West Germany that ran from June 4 to August 31, 1987; it was rediscovered and relaunched as a touring exhibition in 2023. Curated by Austrian artist André Heller, it was an attempt to "create a travelling terrain of modern art, that in the centuries-old principle of the fairground involves people of all ages and educational levels in playful acts". Heller commissioned around 30 contemporary artists to design the attractions, including Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, Roy Lichtenstein, Salvador Dalí, David Hockney, Kenny Scharf, Roland Topor, Jean Tinguely, and Sonia Delaunay. After decades in storage, the works were restored and new works were commissioned for Luna Luna: Forgotten Fantasy, which embarked on a global tour in 2023 with funding from DreamCrew.

On a September afternoon street artist Saber replaced his spray cans in favor of planes for sky writing. His motives were simple; he wanted to spread the word about the current mural moratorium in Los Angeles. That act successfully catapulted the city’s stance on murals to the minds of people that may have never knew the ban existed.

About Dante Biss-Grayson and Sky-Eagle Collection
Artist, Designer, Poet, Writer, Activist
Being half Native American, of the Osage Nation, Dante uses the archetype as an image to guide his artistic process, getting into a trance-like state and letting the work find itself. He adheres to the Zen tradition of simple strokes converging with one idea, leaving on the canvas one decisive expression.
Dante Biss-Grayson’s art is an expression of his experiences as a combat veteran combined with the PTSD those experiences begot him. Having studied art before enlisting, he became reacquainted with painting as a means of confronting and expressing the loss, the absurdity, and the beauty of war. He writes that he “grew up as the apprentice/protégé and son of [artists] Earl Biss and Gina Gray,” surrounded by the radical art of the 1960s/70s-era Institute of American Indian Arts.
