Typical to any European city, its not quite uncommon to find really good artists lined up at key tourist spots waiting to sktech you for a small fee. And Paris was no different either.

This artist in particular was slightly different. He was creating an art of his own. In these days when pulling out a camera and making a picture is so easy, this artist relied on what artists did ages go....capture everything he saw, in an image he can call his own!

Another one that was my pleasure to wait for. The light needs to be on the front butte while the middle one's are shaded creating dimension. Why hurry I thought, this is incredibly gorgeous landscape and 2 hours later the clouds cooperated. I was prepaired, water, food and plenty of time. The bonus was the shadow off the front butte, it's a real bute.

It tried my patience, but I was going to out wait the clouds and get the shot I wanted. People came and went, I spoke with many and most, seeing my tripod and camera setup, had the same question, "Waiting for the right light?" "Yes", I replied, "besides I'm not doing anything else today."

General cargo vessel Arklow Artist seen alongside in Leith Docks, 25.11.2021, discharging a bulk powder cargo.

As the lack of weathering to her boot topping shows, she is a newish vessel, having only been launched on 30th of April this year at the Ferus Smit yard in Leer, Germany as part of a six-vessel contract with Arklow Shipping,

The photo was taken through plate glass from a local restaurant within the Ocean Terminal, so I am pleased with the result!

Another level harder, six men were jumping through the moving hoops.

So a lot of people in the NW will time and again talk about how "everything is great," or "I love it all," or "I do not have a favorite."

Well..

I do love it all, but I also do have a favorite place. And this is it. It is the Artist Point/ Heather Meadows area. It is home to great views of Mount Baker, Mount Shuksan, and my personal favorite, Table Mountain. This place is beautiful, and reachable any time of the year as long as you are at least a little determined.

It changes with the seasons, from seas of white in the winter, to fields of copper, red, and orange in the fall. Summer brings out a collection of lakes and tarns on which the mountains can be seen reflecting.

I have spent days, and nights up here, and have never once left disappointed.

This is my favorite plasce in the world.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Two photos of artists at work on the old, closed department store, Knight & Lee, which was part of the John Lewis Group. I can only name 'Fark', the guy who is painting the big bird (puffin?) but the green character has been started by iSpy Artist, who painted the Grinch and Nightmare before Christmas characters, as I showed you in previous posts!
