This is a story of a street artist, he successfully sold one of his art pieces, but did not have the change to give back to the young couple customers. So he asked them to wait for a while and runs somewhere over the street with a satisfactory smile on his face, and holding money in his hand.
The artist in the front uses pastels, while her husband, in the distance, paints in oils. They do all of their work on location. That must take a lot of patience and stamina.

So a lot of people in the NW will time and again talk about how "everything is great," or "I love it all," or "I do not have a favorite."
Well..
I do love it all, but I also do have a favorite place. And this is it. It is the Artist Point/ Heather Meadows area. It is home to great views of Mount Baker, Mount Shuksan, and my personal favorite, Table Mountain. This place is beautiful, and reachable any time of the year as long as you are at least a little determined.
It changes with the seasons, from seas of white in the winter, to fields of copper, red, and orange in the fall. Summer brings out a collection of lakes and tarns on which the mountains can be seen reflecting.
I have spent days, and nights up here, and have never once left disappointed.
This is my favorite plasce in the world.

Two photos of artists at work on the old, closed department store, Knight & Lee, which was part of the John Lewis Group. I can only name 'Fark', the guy who is painting the big bird (puffin?) but the green character has been started by iSpy Artist, who painted the Grinch and Nightmare before Christmas characters, as I showed you in previous posts!
On the last evening of our trip to Portugal and Spain in 2012 Sherrie and I had the great pleasure of gathering for dinner with some of Madrid's finest painters. Special thanks to our friend Jaime Valero Perandones for setting this up and being such a fabulous host (along with his wife Chrisa) for our time in Madrid!

Artist Adamu L. Hernandez Granados works on his Tibetan-themed painting. I wandered into the Instituto Allende and met Adamu. He was very nice and extremely gracious, allowing me to photograph him while he painted. The Instituto Allende is an extension of Guanajuato University that offers college courses in the arts.
The master sculptor renowned in Oaxaca, Mexico. He lost his vision some years ago but continues to create by feel. "When I lost my eyes, I began to see."

Ron, a beautiful, sixty year old man who agreed to pose for me one summer afternoon. Nudist, trucker, motorcyclist, he's very proud of his masculine body.
so every month,the Noc Noc hosts a show downtown called "starving artists on parade". twisted trystan is one of the main producers and hosts of this show,and this past monday it was his 30th birthday.So instead of performing,people came to entertain him! fire,bellydancing, blockhead,live music and Airpocalypse rocking out = damn good time.
