This guy was sculpting chalk. Each piece was the size of one single piece of chalk. He then displayed them in a small glass tube. I bought one. I got it home safely and still hae it on my desk 15 years later.

Death From Below: The Upper Layers of the Hades Geofront
Fredericks Freiser Gallery 536 W 24th street
September 9 through October 14
Opening reception September 14, 6 to 8pm
come out, meet the dude....
from the press release:
Fredericks & Freiser is proud to announce a solo exhibition of
paintings on Mylar by Canadian artist Nicholas Di Genova. The artist's
fine-lined Darwinian allegories graphically illustrate a mythological
underworld. If the sleep of reason does in fact breed monsters (and
granted that reason may be on the fritz lately) then few since Goya
have attempted to tease these monsters out into the light of day with
such deadpan clarity. Luckily, Di Genova has been living in a world
whose walls continuously bleed messages from its own unconscious in
the form of graffiti. Seceding from the academy of recycled
aesthetics, Di Genova has the imagination and pure linear finesse to
explore every sense of the word graphic: "GRAPHIC" being, for eyes,
what "LOUD" is for ears.

amazed by the "Trinity" work by the spanish artist Ribera, i created this dehumanized figure suspended in the air, immersed in darkness.
I can't think of a more rewarding job than being a Photographer.
Here is one of today's rewards
"The Artist", At 95 years old he told me that he plans to retire next year.
This photo was lit with one 400 w battery strobe into a 12 x 36 in strip box just to camera left, a speedlight with a bounce card was place behind the artist to give separation and to light the painting in the background.

A very talented street artist playing on botles filled with different levels of water. This guy really know what he was doing.
Montmartre is a large hill in Paris's 18th arrondissement. It is 130 m (430 ft) high and gives its name to the surrounding district, part of the Right Bank in the northern section of the city. The historic district established by the City of Paris in 1995 is bordered by rue Caulaincourt and rue Custine on the north, rue de Clignancourt on the east, and boulevard de Clichy and boulevard de Rochechouart to the south. Montmartre is primarily known for its artistic history, the white-domed Basilica of the Sacré-Cœur on its summit, and as a nightclub district. (7/21/2013)

…and UK here refers to the Indian state, Uttarakhand and not United Kingdom as you thought on first instance. :D
Well, she had a pretty smile and her jewellery and the attire were just stunning! Look at that big nose ring she is wearing! I was told that on special occasions, according to the tradition and culture, married women in Uttarakhand wear that big nose ring which is called the ‘Nath’. Black beaded garland on their neck is considered to be the pious symbol of leading a married life for a woman. The Golden necklace which she is wearing is known as Hansuli.
This National Youth Festival being held in Amritsar proved to be a glorious event for me. I came to know a lot about different cultures from my own country. I met people from far away lands and interacting with them was such a delight. I am thankful to all the students and artists who made this occasion a memorable one for me and who tolerated me around them and let me shoot to my heart’s content. :-)

John F. Ceprano, the creator and artist at work. For those who are interested in his work, there will be a Rock Balance Festival during the August long weekend at Remic Rapids. John, and other Rock Artist will be displaying their work. The water is still a little too high, but John his "talking" to the river everyday so that by the long weekend, it will have receded making it easier for the public to walk around and see the artwork closer.

The artist, in his studio, on the lower main floor. Elvon, my cousin, gave this table to my daughters who were attending a School for the Arts, about 20 years ago. They both used it and I saved it, now that he is working in the studio, his gift has come full circle back to him.
Thanks for visiting, TGIF! Stay blessed:)
