He also does warning barks, chasing and the "expectant look". Well my boy, if you want fresh food you can catch it yourself.

(Our garden this afternoon. SOOC shot, no crop.)

From our garden feeding station. Meanwhile I'm positioned behind a trellis. Not that I particularly needed to do that. They're commonly to be found on the patio helping themselves to Freddie's water bowl. But hey, it's spring and I've actually got the sun on my back!

Another selection from my collection of carnivorous plants. This is a pitcher plant - the pitcher on this one is twice the size of the actual plant. Should snare a few insects in the coming weeks. It looks to me like a section through a heart - perhaps that's just me.

Locally light snow overnight; unfortunately an appointment kept me away from the park until late morning, all the snow had gone! A bright and sunny late February morning, the last week of winter; spring begins next week, let's hope March brings better weather. Path from the car park wet, muddy and slippery. Heavy rain for the last two weekends and water levels are high. Fortunately we are much better off than many parts of the country who again have floods. The government must do something about this but Boris and his mates seem very reluctant to act.

The weather has changed (for the better) and some wonderful insects are out and about. I have always loved burnet moths and this loving couple were so tolerant of me.

Just for fun - where I would like to have seen fireworks last night.

Like this flag, we’re all a bit worn around the edges maybe but still standing.

Happy New Year Flickr friends everywhere!

Another 52/52 is over; challenging at times. Next week a new start with 52/52 number 10. I'm returning to one of my happy place's.

My botanical carnivores are enjoying the warm summer and catching lots of prey. The Venus fly trap shown has just disgorged a tiger crane fly.

Daisy's on a table.

This is my favourite image from the entire roll of film... I especially love the softness of the highlights.

What you can't see are the cats, determined to nudge the camera while I was trying to take it!

I wanted to see how close I could get with this one.

Thanks for looking!

Grey and overcast but a least it wasn't raining. A quick shot from close to the carpark after taking my daughters dogs for a walk.

A Harris shutter effect image of a wind turbine.

Three separate images, one each of the red, green and blue channels combined into one. Stationary items have a normal colour, any moving items register in the colour of one channel only.

Branch across the Lumsdale falls stream

The Ox Stones silhouetted against a startrails sky.

A composition of 270 images combined in 'Startrails.de' taken over approximately 80 minutes at a rather chilly Ox Stones near Sheffield a few nights ago. Also reasonably sharp considering how windy it was.

We currently have a temporary art installation in Macclesfield called the 'ADP Riot Tour 2016' - it's a container that houses a model village, viewable though small spy holes dotted around the sides. The outside is covered in colourful graffiti. I went to have a look this morning, while the weather was bright... but it clouded over by the time I got there, which felt quite appropriate!

More help needed on ID - growing under beech in 3 distinct clumps - too low to get shot of gills and I wasn't going to pull any up just to see. The maturation of the cap suggests brown rollrim but I'm not convinced.
