Final approach.
At 6.20 pm the sky is blanketed by heavy smoke from the nearby out of control bush fires.
For most the afternoon the smoke blocked the suns rays and transformed was otherwise was a bright sunny day almost night.
Despite the density of the smoke this aircraft flew over the Hastings River and still managed to land at the Port Macquarie airport.

At the beginning of the year we went to the Pfeiffer Beach in Big Sur, California. This beach is famous for the keyhole, a hole in a rock out on the ocean. The sun light shines right through the keyhole at sunset, but only in December and January when the sun is low. This reflection shot is facing the rocks located in the ocean.
I processed a realistic, a paintery, and a photographic HDR photo from three RAW exposures, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

Approaching Naxos by ferry is a thrilling experience that stirs a sense of adventure and wonder. As the island gradually emerges on the horizon, there's a palpable excitement in the air. The anticipation builds with each passing wave. Passengers traveling to further islands gather on the ferry's deck to capture the views and take selfies.
Not a bad view considering it was from within the carriage and through glass :-)

Excerpt from en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castle_Peak_(Hong_Kong):
Castle Peak (青山, sometimes transcribed Tsing Shan) or Pui To Shan (杯渡山) is a 583-metre (1,913-feet)-high peak in western New Territories, Hong Kong. It is also the highest granitic hill in Hong Kong.
In contrast to its Chinese name, which means green hill, Castle Peak is notorious for its severe loss of vegetation and weathering of its granite surface.
