If I had a choice between experiencing an outdoor weather storm, and a storm within my life, I think I will choose the outdoor one!

Fuji X-E2 (and I got home in time). A kind of twilight that I find fascinating.

I photographed this springbok (antidorcas marsupialis) as it was walking slowly towards me down a sandy track in the Kalahari desert, Botswana. This was a particularly arid area but these animals get the water they need from eating shrubs and succulents. They can live without actually drinking water for years, though they take advantage of waterholes where available.

Walking along the beach to Porthleven with the clock tower of the institute on the right and the labour pier jutting out into the sea.

I'm very grateful for all your visits and would like to thank you now for stopping by, and any comments you may leave. Much appreciated, John...

Montana Rail Link’s ML (Missoula to Laurel manifest freight) approaches Avon at Bradley, Montana, on a warm and green July 6, 2001. Two SD45s splice MRL’s only SDP40 as power, while behind the CN boxcar is Montana Western (former Raris/BA&P) GP9 No. 103, most likely headed east to the Livingston Shops for some work.

Went on an early morning walk in Singapore... this is the Henderson Waves Bridge close to Mount Faber

Rainstorm coming onshore from Lake Michigan.

Smaller image due to camera's limitations at high image sizes.

not the sharpest pic but honestly I was a bit scared about the strength of the approaching hurricane and I didn't spend to much time here. 😬

Festively decorated chancel of St. Ludwig, Munich. The romanesque church was built between 1829 and 1844 and has the second largest altarpiece fresco in the world.

I captured this on a very dull day with little light inside the church but ugly haze coming in through the windows, so I had a hard time to get something reasonably usable from post-processing. To top it all off, the shadow of an inattentive photographer disturbs the scene 😄

Panorama stitched from 6 individual HDR images.

Zoom in to enjoy the beautiful details including the super-defined starbursts on the Christmas trees (thanks to my beloved Laowa lens) 😊

Wishing you a peaceful merry Christmas 🎄✨🎅

Another image from my visit with the anemones and the bees...this is a two image composite..one was a 9 image in camera multiple exposure blended with a single image with the flower and bee in focus. The images were done with a long zoom length-400mm which can make for some nice soft backgrounds. If there are no birds...there is always something else to shoot...LOL!

... on a walk to Crimsworth Dean, (between Hebden Bridge and Haworth)

of light, the darkness of a storm approaching along with the beams of sunlight...I thought it gave the images almost a surreal look to them.

Taken from the footpath between Pitstone hill and steps hill, which can be seen on the right. Ivinghoe beacon is in the centre of the shot.

Storm clouds approaching Hunstanton.

While I was happy with my previous shot here, I must say the better weather conditions this time are a marked improvement. This empty grain pretty much follows the course of the Yakima River, seen here rolling through a double horseshoe curve as they approach Thorpe. This would be the only train I would see n this line but it was well worth my time.
