After the grain train clears the block at MP 132, the signal displays "approach medium". This is one of the unique features that will disappear when the new signal system is cut over.

HMS Lancaster approaching the buoy in the early morning mist ...

Another collage of images. This one is basically three. The self portrait, the tunnel which I made out of painted plywood and the shadow which was created in photoshop.

Amazing clouds spiralling out from a slowly approaching stormy front dominated the blue sky that morning. Cotswold Way. Lansdown, near Bath. Banes, England, U.K.

An archive shot taken at Stumble LIghthouse a few years ago. There was the most dramatic sky with rain squalls and sun - never seen it like that there since! Happy New Year to all my Flickr friends. Can't believe another new year will be starting tomorrow! Wishing you all well for 2025

On UP's Shoreline Sub, Sheboygan coal empties very slowly approach the bridge over WSOR trackage at Havenwoods on the far north side of Milwaukee while the setting sun turns low clouds bright pink. The signal here, at N 64th St, is approach-lit, and in fact didn't even light (on this side) until just after the power had passed.

this is the view as one approaches the Panorama Point (highest point) of Matheran. Its a long walk from the market though....:D

In the high cascades of Western Oregon, fall is approaching. It comes early to these high elevations. :) Mt. Washington in the background.

I knew I missed the viewing of the sky, clouds and storms but I never knew how much I missed them until I return. I hope to capture more of the wide open spaces of the prairies and mountains and the wide open sky in the very near future.

Part of the walk from our campsite just outside Coniston into the village for an evening in the pub, all along footpaths for about a mile.

66760 is seen approaching Pencoed crossing. An Arriva single car DMU headed in the opposite direction entered into the next frame so I couldn't get it further over the crossing, but I think it works this way anyway. 6V32 09:40 Grain Thamesport GB Railfreight to Margam Terminal Complex

We saw Ronda in the distance from a long way out, glistening against against a brooding sky, which promised rain but failed to deliver.

The male is above, with prey in its talons (images 1 & 2).

The male and female approach, and around image 3

the food is passed in mid-air to the female.

By image 4 & 5 the female has the food.

This took place at quite a distance so the images are heavily cropped and lack fine detail.

Thanks to everyone who views, faves or comments on my pictures.

After hiking Hayden Butte in downtown Tempe, AZ, we were approaching the trailhead when I noticed this sign. The backdrop of this image is a high-rise that sits along the Salt River.

After 23 hours trip from Donghae, South Korea, the ferry was reaching Vladivostok. Cloudy but I love the atmosphere of the harbor.
