As we bid adieu to the warmth of summer's embrace, we find ourselves on the precipice of autumn's arrival. The world transforms into a canvas of vivid hues, a tapestry of crimson and gold, where every leaf tells a story of change. It's a season that invites introspection, a time when nature itself seems to pause and take a deep breath. As the days grow shorter and the air turns crisp, we're reminded of the beauty that resides in letting go, in the graceful dance of transition. So, as autumn approaches, let us embrace this chapter of transformation with open hearts, for it's a reminder that change can be as beautiful as the falling leaves.

It's back to Doha, Qatar again after those pics for Christmas :-) This opening actually leads into an entrance court before one gets to enter the museum proper.

The last two weeks passed quickly since the release of MMV's TransMontana ( flic.kr/p/2oShMTV ). The weather was so stormy in those days when I visited the lake Balaton. This one hit with a heavy downpourshortly after its arrival, but before that it provided an amazing sight.

Train approaches Wapping station from Rotherhithe, in London's Docklands, emerging from under the Thames.

This may look like the London Underground, but is in fact part of the London Overground network.

The tunnel was originally constructed by Brunel, completed in 1843, and believed to be the world's first tunnel constructed under a navigable river.

Originally intended for horse drawn carriages and pedestrian traffic it was later converted to be used by trains.

A summer day in Norfolk, the wind and approaching rainstorm made a dramatic scene though.

This storm took a long time approaching with overcast clouds, alternating with sun. Changeable weather makes for interesting skies. The day was quite windy from the west leaving Georgian Bay smooth and still. We finally got our thunderstorm in the evening hours.... summer weather in March!!

Happy Every Day Is Stairs Day!

From a family Easter vacation at Skagen, Denmark - April 19, 2019.

Here we are on a morning walk near the old sand-covered church.

The dirty one on the left is Valerie and the one on the right is Hubbard. The keener folk are out in the wind and mist on the 5th deck , the smart ones are in the Celebrations' Lounge on the 11th deck. The outside temperature falls to 0 degrees C as you get closer.

At 19.45 hours, there was a feeling / that escape had became difficult / if not impossible.

Coral Cove Park, Jupiter Island, FL

It's been a while I've been on here... again. Wishing y'all a belated Happy New Year 2017!

I've been out and about shooting, but mostly only put the shots on my personal Facebook page, some on my public FB page and on Instagram. OK, IG I use mostly for my iPhone shots taken on the way to work.

Anyhow... here's a shot from Saturday morning taken at Coral Cove Park. Surf was up, well the tide was incoming. High tide was about 2 hours out, but with a rather stiff breeze from the east the waves were really crashing over the rocks and I had a hard time keeping both, my feet and the lens, dry. I had more success with my feet than with the lens.

I took the airport shuttle train when transferring at London Heathrow Airport. Perfect for a motion blur shot.

I processed a balanced and a paintery HDR photo from a RAW exposure, merged the selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I appreciate and welcome constructive feedback.

A storm approaches on the marsh. Winter in south Georgia is still quite warm with lots of rain. Much is dead and gloom hangs overhead. A change of pace is needed.

After 60085 had left Skipton bound for Leeds there was about four hours to kill before the next action I had spotted in the area. I missed the New Biggin in the timetable. Anyway I thought it would be a good time to explore the Embsay and Bolton Railway railway where No 7 and 37294 were found to be working services.

37294 seen approaching Prior Lane from Bolton Abbey. The siding to the left presumably serving a local quarry. Any clues would be welcomed.
