AMC went to the well again in the early '70's, dropping a 360ci V8 into its compact Hornet 2-door sedan. The muscle car era was dying out by this time, though -- potential buyers were scared off by skyrocketing insurance rates for anything that could light up its rear tires.

Cold River Camp (CRC) is a volunteer-managed, family-oriented, and full-service facility of the Appalachian Mountain Club that welcomes AMC members and the general public.
